|
|
My Swap Magic 3.6 just came in the mail at 7:30am this morning lol. (early I know) Anyways I had it shipped to my friends and while I'm waiting I've been making disc to get the hang of it. I burned it to a Imation DVD+R 16x (but I burned it at 4x). Anyone know if that will work? If not please suggest the best dvds to go buy before I run out of money.
Thanks,

any types of DVDs should work, as long as you write them at a vero low speed. i'veen using verbatim DVD+R @ 4x, works totally fine for me. using a playstation with modchip, but that doesn't affect the laser so.. |

This is patently false. Not all recordable media are created equal. See the list in the link in the first post of the "Playing" IDIOT'S guide.

Thanks guys for the replies. I'm really new to modding my Guitar Hero disc but am one of the best at Socom: Combined Assault if you know what that is. So about the lazer burning I heard it does that if you use a CD-R for like the SNES or NES emulators. Oh and yeah I got it working on here thanks though I'm working on making a full disc right now but I have an E machine so that just tells you how slow of a pace I'm working at. _________________

RWs dont work. I just got Swapmagic 3.6 in the mail today too. TDK DVD+R doesn't work at all, Memorex DVD-R work fantastic. Also, I am aware the previous sentence was made up of horrible mangled English. |

I use Sony DVD+R recorded at 8x, and have tested it on 3 different ps2 minis, but it seems like a crapshoot. No matter what, use a quality media (TDK,Sony,Verbatim,etc)... it DOES make a difference! Good luck. |

RWs cant be "finalized." Think about burning a cd-r with music for a standard cd player in your car. If you try burning it onto a cd-rw, it wont play in your car because it was never finalized. Same idea with the PS2. At least thats the way it seems to me. |
