Just saw this on youtube and thought it looked pretty cool. It's kind of like the Sims I guess, except less embarassing to be a part of

I'm really intersted to see if this actually takes off and is used by a lot of people. If i had PS3 I'd definitely at least give it a try.

As soon as this thing hits, the PS3 will be the next thing to be lampooned for being an easy way for child predators to have access to our children.

I can't even begin to imagine how long it's going to take to load that damn thing, or how much memory it takes up if it has to run in the background.

It almost looks like Sony might try to force people to use the Home feature if they want access to other features on their system (like downloaded games). That would just be stupid though, and Sony can't possibly be that...... I can't even finish that sentence

Yeah, it's possible. But they had a clip from Little Big World in that video, and that game is made of all sorts of win. If they put GH3 on PS3 and not Wii, I will probably pick one up for those two games.

But I wouldn't be able to participate in that kind of community. You just know it'll be filled with crazy people.

So you can have everyone from their online network able to type and talk to you, rather than just menus and friends with XBL.

Who here has used XBL?

Picture this....you're s in this public home thing. You're surrounded by online users, all of whom are about on even level with XBL users. They all have microphones.

They've pretty much to copied microsoft and nintendo and made like "their" idea is unique
-design your own person - the equivalent of a mii
-trophies to show off - achievement points
-movies - xbox live marketplace has these available for download, and you dont even have to go to a virtual movie theater
-emote - why in the hell do you need this when you can just speak into a headset?!?!?
-design your house - stole it from the sims

The concept of it all is really cool, kinda like living a virtual life.....but the downside is that this virtual life is gonna be filled with the same 12 year old smartass kids that cuss you out in halo. And now lets throw in some pedophiles because all of the 13 year old girls are gonna wanna design their own house and go to the virtual movies together. It'll work, and it'll boost sony's sales, but its not gonna be geared toward the actual gamers, just all the spoiled kids who's rich daddies bought them an 8,000 dollar ps3 for christmas and teenager girls and such.
