I've no idea if it's optimal, but it's an 8-star at least (higher than 5.200x) for "Our Truth" by Lacuna Coil (my score was 274,534 and I don't really squeeze/whammy particularly well, but damnit I 8-starred it!):
3(+1): Activate at measure 27 (The group of BGGGBGG right before the 4th SP phrase). If you get to the 5th phrase, whammy after the 1st SP deatcivates.
2(+1): Activate at the start of the 7th SP phrase (end of measure 49).
1: Immediately after orange sustain
3: Measure 94 (RB chord after B sustain)
I'm not too skilled with computers, so I don't know how to make this in one of those blank paths.
EDIT:"Our Truth" SP Path (at least an 8-star, but definitely not optimal) Thank you TheThirdDay for the tip on MS Paint. I needs to play around with it a bit more. _________________

Can someone test my PMU chart? I want to know if I got it all right, because I had to play the song a few times to figure out the path... _________________

MS Paint is your freind.
Here's the What I've Done path I worked up. It's netted me about 243k if I'm not mistaken; I'm currently 19th on Xbox live, being beaten out by about 20k. I don't wanna say people are hacking the leaderboards yet, but I can't possibly see how another 20k is possible. |
Here as in...where exactly?
Wow yea I'm retarded. I didn't forget to add in whammy. I forgot to add in the overriding SP phrase. Hah. _________________

Here's a path I made. It should be optimal but who knows?

just a question, but it's very important for me making paths. How many points is one beat of sustain under a 4x multiplyer? _________________

Good job on the OP. I think Graf forgot to add in the extra .25 SP for each of his paths...so I don't think they are even correct. But I could be wrong. I know he took the links out of his post for each of the paths, so I would assume that would be why. _________________

All I did was post the link to the site (even then, I posted the link after TMA did). TMA did all the work and deserves all the credit. _________________

If it's like the previous game, which I believe it is, then it would be 100 points per beat under a 4x multiplier, as you get half a note worth of points for one beat.
Don't quote me on any of that, sorry if any of it is wrong.
And a semi-related question: chord holds, are they worth more than normal hold? |
Nope. All holds are still worth 100 points per beat no matter if it's a 1, 2, or 3 note sustain. _________________

What about HOPO sustains (like in measure 15 of HC)If you only were to hold on to the O sustain, would it be worth as much as holding all four notes? _________________
