The way this is set up right now makes all the notes way too ambiguous. If it were written out as notes it would make it so much easier for us musicians! It would at least be good as a cheat or something...

Solfege or writing out the notes like sheet music wouldn't be a good idea. It would be too hard to show slides (slides can be very long or very short). Also the blue lines make it very clear how long to hold notes. It might be good as a cheat, but this would seem like a huge change for just a cheat...

As far as I know, every karaoke type video game uses some form of lines to show pitches. I don't think solfege or sheet music would be an improvement.

they are all master tracks, so you should just be able to look up the sheet music right?

My wife has the whole Singstar collection for PS2...

I personally believe the style used in that game for vocals would be ideal, as it's easy to read and has lines to indicate pitch which are very easy to follow, whether you're someone who CAN sing or THINKS you can sing...
