|
|
Lately, I've had a lot of success getting the right pitches to extremely hard parts of songs, and I've been able to FC them with these pitches. This thread is to help anyone who also has difficulty hitting these parts by listing the correct pitches for these sections. For help on determining what pitch is what, use this keyboard.
NOTE:When I have a part listed like this: "gun" C -> Bb, that signals a slide where the pitch changes in the same word.
Sections:
Stone Cold Crazy's Final Verse From Hell
"Walking down the street shoot-" - F
"-ing" - D
"people that I meet" - F
"With" - F
"my" - D
"rubber" - G
"tommy" - F
"water" - D
"gun" C -> Bb
"Here" - C -> D
"come the" - D
"dep-" - C
"-uty he's" - D
"gon-" - C
"-na come and" - D
"get-" - C
"-ta me" - D
"I" - D
"gotta" - G
"get me" - F
"get" - C
"up and" - D
"run" - C -> Bb
"They" - G
"got" - Bb
"the" - G
"sirens" D -> C -> Bb
"loose" - G
"I" - G
"ran" - Bb
"right" - G
"out-" - D -> C
"-ta" - Bb
"juice" - D
"They" - C
"-'re gon-" - D
"-na put me in" - F
"a" - D
"cell if" - F
"I" - D
"can't go" - F
"to" - D
"heaven" - F
"Will" - F
"they" - D
"let" - G
"me" - F
"go" - D
"to" - Bb
"hell" - C -> D
"Cra-" D -> E
"-zy" D -> C
Fight Fire with Fire's choruses and ending
1st chorus:
"Fight" - talky
"Fire" - E
"with fi-" - B
"-re" - Bb
2nd and 3rd choruses:
"Fight" - talky
"Fi-" - G
"-re" - E
"with fi-" - B
"-re" - Bb
Ending(or rather, how it goes, not how I recommend you sing it):
"Fight" - E
"Fi-" - G
"-re" - E
"with fi-" - B
"-re" - Bb
What I suggest for the ending is that you skip the ""-re" - E" entirely, because it's so small that it won't really benefit you at all, in fact, going for that pitch will probably hurt you. So really, sing it like this:
"Fight" - E
"Fire" - G
"with fi-" - B
"-re" - Bb
If this still doesn't help, and you need to hear it by ear, then use this:

The Black River
I only have advice for one phrase so far, but this phrase is a huge combo breaker, because it's so small, and the required precision is so huge. Credit to GuitarHailz for this phrase.
"Together you cross":
"Togeth-" - E
"-er you" - C#
"cross" - C# -> B
Hit the Lights (the stupid phrase)(Credit to GuitarHailz)
"Wanna" - G
"stop" - B
"again" - G=>A (You can get away with singing just A)
Hell Bent For Leather(Credit to bh0ukk)
Yet no one knows from where he comes
| Bb | C | D | G | D | E |
War Ensemble
This is the only phrase that ever gave me a ton of trouble on the song, and I've heard plenty of others who have sang this song cite this phrase as the biggest FC breaker, probably because it's hard to detect the F# in "descend" by ear.
"Des-" - F#
"-cend" - E
"onto my sights" - D# -> talky _________________

This actually helps a ton. I've done it on "AND YOU break your crown" on King Nothing and I think I may have done it on some GHWT song. I personally think that its a difficult thing to do. But everyone has come across that one phrase that you just can't figure out. However, I don't like the idea that people can do a song word by word and FC it...... _________________

For SCC, I went into practice mode and figured out the pitch of every word in every phrase in the final verse. I didn't bother trying to FC it. :P I doubt I could FC it anyway, to be honest. Hopefully someone finds this helpful, though. _________________

LOL. You'd have to have some mad skills to FC SCC by singing it word for word with a reference pitch. You'd still have to know all the pitches anyway, I don't see what the problem is to use a keyboard to help.
Surely you're not suggesting people would pause after every word and find the next pitch. I don't think that's possible at all on SCC. And on other songs we can't exactly stop people from figuring out the pitches and doing that. We just go by the honor system. _________________

You are made of pure, unadulterated win.
Now I can FC Hit the Lights, break 100k on SCC (maybe...), etc. I was finding some method for those stupid "Wanna stop again" phrases. I mean, I know the "Wanna" is the same as "again", but I needed some consistency in go down.
Thanks a lot! Looking forward to see more helpful stuff here! _________________

People play Vinternoll2 on bass 50 million times in a row for their rock rank. But anyway this is a great thread for anyone who is having trouble on that one phrase. _________________

People also play Beat It on drums 50 million times in a row to both build arm strength and raise their rock rank. I get what you're trying to say though. But I think both our analogies are vastly easier than what they're being compared against.
A more logical comparison would be "People have FC'd Hot for Teacher by pausing after every note, abusing the countdown, and abusing the timing window". |

Other good ones to do:
"I'll get ya, I'll get ya" - One Way Or Another
"Crazy", "Maybe" - Crazy Train
I can't figure out those pitches right now, but I'll do this in a little bit if noone else does.
Edit: I guess those are World Tour ones, but we could expand the scope of this thread or make a new one for GHWT. _________________

The first "Crazy" in crazy train is easy but the one that is difficult goes
"E, C#, D#" which sounds nothing like what I hear. The first "Crazy" and "Maybe" are most likely "E, B, C#" which do sound like what i'm hearing. More later - gtg. |

Hell Bent For Lethah
Yet no one knows from where he comes
| Bb | C | D | G | D | E |
The from is really short, maybe it's better to skip it....
He actually sing the G one octave higher than the rest of the phrase.
His singing sounds pretty funny IMO. |

I think it's a better idea to just have separate threads for both World Tour and Metallica. If someone else wants to start the World Tour thread, be my guest. _________________
