Hey Scorehero, I searched and did not find a general comic strips thread.
What are your favorite comic strips?
My favorites of all time are Far Side (#1) and Calvin and Hobbs (#2). My Favorite current comic strip is Pearls before Swine, and today's strip was hilarious.

Pearls Before Swine is definitely my favorite strip. While I usually barely read the comics, every time I do, that's the first one I look for, and it usually makes me laugh a little. _________________

I read a lot of web comics, actually. Here are some of the top of my mind:
Awkward Zombie <- This is something for Nintendo fans.
Housepets! <- This is currently my favorite. Seen in LethalFishEater's sig, thanks man !
VGcats <- I'm sure you know this one, if you don't, go read it all.
Cyanide & Happiness <- A daily webcomic that is awesome for a laugh or two. A lot of SH members had these in their sigs before.
These are just from the top of my head. My favorite is of course, this one:

Calvin and Hobbes: The best comic strip of all time, end of discussion
Bloom County: A smart political satire. Sort of like The Boondocks of the 80's (but better and more subtle)
The Far Side: Sort of like Pearls Before Swine in that it features animals prominent, but it only has one panel.
Get Fuzzy: Another animal strip (I'm seeing a theme here)
I like many others (like Pearls) but those are the top 4 for me. |

My favorite strips... man there are so many.
Foxtrot - I love it. Just really funny.
Zits - Relates to our family too well.
Pearls Before Swine - They have some really funny stuff.
xkcd - Hey look at my avatar!
The Far Side - O.o
Cyanide and Happiness - One of my favorite online comics. Barely read it anymore though. =/
Lio - LIO. I love this comic. My current favorite one still being published. Just a little boy who can say a lot, but just doesn't. That's what just makes him so good. <3 Lio. And I have Mark added on Facebook! The guy who writes it.
Calvin and Hobbes - Best. Comic. Ever. No need to say anything else. _________________

Oh, we can has webcomics in this thread, too, it seems.
I really only read 3
Cyanide & Happiness - Just pure comedy. Once in a while there's a really stupid one but then there's a really awesome one to make up for it. Plus, the animated shorts are always great for a laugh.

xkcd - The humor in this comic is just my style of humor. Even though sometimes the jokes fly right over my head

Ctrl + Alt + Del - comic about Video Games.... well, it used to be. This one actually has a STORYLINE.

DISCLAIMER: I just picked random comics that are funny for each of these. It would take forever for me to find my favorite from each. _________________

Basically all of this, plus Islands in the Sky, Garfield, Daisy Owl, Penny Arcade, and The Great Catsby (The first book free to view!)
I'm also wanting to get into Tank Girl, Bone, Scott Pilgrim, etc, etc. _________________

Achewood and Wondermark are my favorites among the webcomic set. Achewood tends to release comics in story arcs so if you're interested in that one, starting in the archives at the beginning is probably the way to go (plus there's almost eight years worth of strips in the archives so you have plenty of stuff). Also, not really a "comic" per se, McSweeney's is also really hilarious. Give them a shot maybe! _________________

why is Calvin and Hobbes so great? the panel that was quoted up there wasn't exactly funny... Idk, maybe it's just that I haven't read 'em, but are they actually funny?
Far Side is great, though. My Dad got the whole collection book thingie, and I spent quite a while perusing it at one point... _________________
