anyone with the game want to go for platinum on the god of rock's final challenge? 10,000,000 points on any song in a band to unlock the final secret character (no idea what it is). i don't even know what songs could get 10m. i can play expert guitar, bass, or drums (rb2 kit). can't sing at all, would do beginner vocals, but if anyone is on beginner, then the band can't get bonuses.

10 million points? You would need a REALLY long song full of notes for that...

Even the longest song doesn't have that many points. A drum FC would probably be around 1.5m ish, but still.

i was incorrect. it's 5 million for platinum. 10 million is diamond. only need platinum to unlock secret character. i think you can use any combination of instruments (i.e. 4 guitarists) and it will still count, but not 100% sure. looks like sultans of swing might do it with multiple guitarists due to the tons of triple chords. i got 580k solo.

could also use a partner to play bleed american's challenge to unlock the final cheat. need to keep a 2x band multiplier for 42 seconds.

Just wanted to clear up the PFO questions from a couple of pages back.

1. Players will be matched only at their own difficulty. If after 30 seconds nobody is found, you will be given the option to match against other difficulties or continue searching at your difficulty.
2. If you do play against another difficulty, the lower difficulties will be handicapped by having a lower overall base score. This means that if 2 people play at different difficulties and FC the song, the higher difficulty will always win. Previously, that scenario would have resulted in a tie.

i just played dyflwd on guitar and got 750k+, but man that song drags on and on (and i missed the diamond challenge cutoff by one tiny sliver)

sultans is less than half as long, and with band multipliers and band moments, i think it could be done (assuming band moments still happen when multiple people play on the same instrument. i'm still not entirely sure.)

Is HUD Free Mode performance mode, or is it the game stripped of everything but the note chart?

hud free mode takes away your rock meter, sp gauge, star gauge, multiplier, streak counter, etc. it's just the note highway and the venue. focus mode takes away the venue so it's just a note highway against a completely black background.

i also used unlock all characters. the character from doing the god of rock's final challenge is pretty lame. also, somebody mentioned something about a robot character - there isn't one on the 360, unless you can make it yourself.
