Best debut:
MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
I'm gonna go ahead and be that guy. MGMT has 2 albums and 2 EPs. The Management was their first, under The Management and had to change their name for copyright or something. Hence Management.

EDIT: Will add nominations tomorrow.

For Best One Hit Wonder: Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley Let's face it, the song is far more popular now than it was when it debuted.

That was released 2 decades ago. And you can't really say Rickrolling is more popular than the song was itself back then. The song reached #1 in multiple countries and on multiple formats, and was the best-selling single in the UK in 1987.
You say that like it was a serious nomination.

Best Metal act: Rammstein - My favourite band of all time alongside The Beatles, they have failed to write a single song I don't like.

Best rock act: AC/DC - Black Ice was, in my opinion, a great album, I love AC/DC to begin with, and they haven't lost it, whatever "it" is >__>

Best progressive rock/metal act: Dream Theater - Gotta be, can't need an explanation surely?

Best Metal album: Rammstein - Reise, Reise
- My favourite album of theirs, Mutter is good but I listened to it so much I've burned out on it, Rosenrot was a bit of a let down, Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da is a really good album, but Reise, Reise I prefer.

Best progressive rock/metal album: Dream Theater - Systematic Chaos
- Yes, I picked Systematic Chaos over Six Degrees or Black Clouds or Ocatavarium, I love Dream Theater when they are being heavier, and The Dark Eternal Night is one of my favourite songs.

Best rap/hip-hop act: Outkast
- The group that got me interested in music, they are one of the most original hip-hop groups going.

Best rap/hip-hop album: Outkast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below - The first album I ever bought, and, I think, the best selling hip-hop album of all time? I may be mistaken here...

Best pop act: Lady Gaga - I actually enjoy her music, and the songs she makes are better than the majority of the other popular music these days, so because of this...

Best pop album: Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster - I bought my mum this album for christmas, and listening through it, it's a really great album.

Best solo act: Buckethead - Yeah.

Best live album: Rammstein - Volkerball - Atmosphere and setlist = amazing.

Best moment in music: Killing in the Name for Christmas number 1 - Yes I know, only applies for England, but I really drew a blank here and this was all I could think of >__>

Saddest moment in music: Death of George Harrison - My favourite Beatle, a sorry day for music.

It took me so long to think of what could possibly be called song of the decade that I thought "fuck it" and left it off.

You say that like you made that at all clear. I don't underestimate how stupid people can be.

IMO you need to explain how Dream Theater is possibly better than Devin Townsend Band

The fact that no one has mentioned the death of Elliott Smith for saddest moment genuinely disturbs me.
