Aside from DWEDFN and Scatterbrain(Live) there doesn't seem to be any solo pattern that even compares to Satch Boogie- that's why I feel it's a mistake to not include 21CSM.
Is this about difficulty or about songs that sound 100% pleasing to the ear :P
Plus I want to see the activations for that song lol.
Then again maybe this year will have a lot more double FCs.
Either way- good luck! _________________

Thats like GH3 WCG 2008 without TTFAF, or GH WT WCG 2009 without Satch Boogie.
If the list, shift posted, is correct. Why not Scatterbrain for the Final Song? Spirit of the radio is hard, but not the hardest song in the game. |
Maybe they were looking for a funner final song more than a hard one.
We may never know.... |

It's truly not an easy decision, trust me.
Here's what i have just a sneak peek for you guys, cos u know i love you ;)
Game Type : Pro Face-Off
Difficulty: Expert
Hyperspeed Mode: Can be decided by each player to whichever speed they prefer
Slider bar: Off (Slider bar can be turned on if, and only if both players agree to this change)
Songs
1. American Girl – Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
2. Demons – Darkest Hour
3. Deadbolt – Thrice
4. Done with Everything Die for Nothing – Children of Bodom
5. No One to Depend On (Live) – Santana
6. One Big Holiday – My Morning Jacket
7. Scatterbrain (Live) – Jeff Beck
8. Younk Funk – The Derek Trucks Band
9. Sultans of Swing – Dire Straits
10. 2 Minutes to Midnight – Iron Maiden
Final Song: Rush - The Spirit of Radio
Character: Free Choice
Now, i will be getting this approved and on the main wcg site (it may be re-worded but similar at the least)
I understand the debate regarding SoTR but i need to re-iterate there is a chance it may not be played and if it is then great, the best path/squeeze will win, proving the better player under stress regardless of the song, i understand it's easy as a song for us but it's the chosen song. Believe me if it was a standard in-tournament song and it was heard more than once and played, it would be a bore, from being a referee 2 years now and knowing guitar hero series nearly inside out i'm confident this list is more than satisfactory
Thanks guys _________________

And I'm surprised no one brought up that "THE Spirit of Radio" is the actual name of the song. _________________

So...DarkJyn, I assume the list I'm seeing here isn't updated then, if 2 Minutes to Midnight replaced Medicate? _________________

So how would one go about actually getting involved in this? I've done some looking around and I have to say I'm absolutely perplexed. So far, I understand that there is some sort of online qualifier, followed by an offline qualifier. (Both of which appear to be sometime in July/August)
So how do I sign up for this? Or is it too late? _________________

i don't work with the us wcg however if you register @ us.wcg.com and wait until the WCG 2010 online prelims are available you'll be ok, i hear they improve each year but with the vast amount of competitors it's no easy task _________________

Whoops, forgot to mention that I'm a Canadian player. I've found the Canadian website, but it seems to be arranged in an entirely different way from the US site (not to mention that there's been no activity since Septembre). I guess I'll just hang tight and wait for the online prelims to pop up. _________________
