My apologies Fug. Your score in my spreadsheet was indeed correct for WoR, however, I had totally missed your TtFaF redux of over 16k points, and your I'm in the Band redux of 3k. This doesn't change your scores much for the overall board, but does increase your lead for the Original 211 by a fair bit. The GH3 score will be reflected properly in tomorrow's update. Your Original 211 now stands at a very impressive 68,328,042, congrats.

A few small updates here and there, not much to really talk about other than MLG finally putting in his BH scores. MLG moved up to 3rd on the Grand Total, and while he still has nearly 8 million in points to input it won't change his position, as he trailed Kramral before WoR and trails him in WoR. They both do not play the handhelds, so they will likely have around a 1 million point gap between them, and then the big gap between them and Alex, who does have the handhelds. Yes, Kerfoot, I caught your GH:VH updates, I try to catch most score updates. Enjoy your new found glory of being the top 10, it really is hard to get to that point. As promised, Fug's total is now correct, it is about time he worked on his GH3 total, he really deserves to be up a lot higher on that board. Fug did move up I think 5 places in one day for GH3, congrats.

So, now we come to the question of what is the long term goal for our two competing leaders, Fug and Kramral. Kramral has stated that he wants to try for a FGFC which is a great long term goal, but I don't think its going to happen quickly. Fug has stated his long term goal of being 650/660, and to finally nail RaBl and BatM. I think both Kramral and Fug are capable of getting to 34.3 million on GH:WoR, so the question then becomes how much more are they both capable of in redux points? That would bring them both up to 229.3 million, is the achievable cap for them 229.5 or all the way up to 230 million? It is obviously early and a long way out, but it should be fun to watch them go for it. The community total is at 230.4 million, and the Best Individual total has finally broken 230, but that is still a VERY high bar to reach. Remember that Fug was 623k (he reduxed 19k this week so thats down to almost a nice round 600k) from the community total before WoR. Fug or Kramral would have to pass under 300k pre WoR likely to get to 230 million. Either way, it should be fun for the rest of us.

At this point, of the people with posted scores, the only real threat is Wahevi. If he would just finish out the last three games, he would be fairly close, likely under a million points away. Of the other great players/squeezers, none of them have either all the games, the desire to finish them out, put in all their scores, or the ability to squeeze for that many points. We are talking about people like Ukog, Elscarecrow, ggamer, iamchris, strike, Jprez, No7Zachary, LO7, Alex and MLG. No offense to Alex and MLG, but you just do not have the desire to grind for that few points, so, while your totals are amazing they are not capable of 229 plus at the moment. Then again, we could just be waiting for the next great player to emerge, who knows.

I personally will be switching to Rock Band mode as the third game is finally out. Don't worry I will still update this post, I just won't be playing GH for a while. As always I look forward to your updates and comments, thanks to all who support this thread.

Hey, after I put in my GHA Hard scores, could you go over what I need to redux again?

Played some more Old School yesterday and today. Reduxed for about 111k in GH2, and a good 101k in GH80s. (Not all from reduxes in that one, I boosted my Ballroom Blitz score.)

Today was probably the last time I played these games for a while (yes, again :P) I'm going back to University tomorrow, so no more PS2. (No CRT blahblahblah, same as usual) Not that bad of a deal though, since I still have plenty of stuff to do in GH:WoR, seeing how I don't even have a score in for every song. I still have to get 2 more FCs in that before getting another special FC. =] (Which won't take as long as my 600th FC took, don't worry. xD)

Once again, thanks Bushido for running this thread and everything that comes with it, it is VERY appreciated, and I can definately say that I wouldn't have reduxed a fraction of what I have if it wasn't there.

Well after playing van halen for the first time in 2 or so months I went back to redux and boom 18k on one song so... I plan on about 200k or so on that game and some minor reduxes on other games.
Edit: On hold till Sunday forgot about rb3 :P

this !! Even though it takes me longer cause i always do millions of things at the same time, i DO think this thread is the main reason for me to stick around and keep on reduxing / entering scores.

Speaking of which, i started ghWoR Hgtr, so yeah, you'll know where to look first for my updates. This and... Xgtr too i guess, since i redux some songs here and there.

Have fun with rb3 !

Nice reduxes from Mr.Sci and MLG. We had scores all over the place yesterday as there were as many old school game updates as there were WoR updates. I have been amused of late as SquiggleJoe has been updating his Original 211 scores, not a lot but enough to move him a spot or two. Fug has begun his inevitable rise to the top of the ranks again for the Expert total. I hope you guys enjoyed your head start on him, because it looks like he is likely going to end up with 85+ 1st or 2nd places on GH:WoR, at least for the short term. Void, it should be obvious what to do after GH:A, you don't have any scores inputted at all for GH:WT on hard. Assuming you still have the disk go for that. Arvain, I didn't notice any change from yesterday for you, then again that could be the time difference, you were already updated from my post yesterday for GH:VH on hard.

Thank you all for your kind words for my thread. This is something I was tracking for fun anyway, the thread just made me clean it up better so others could read it. I am glad that I have been able to inspire so many of you to push yourselves to get better, competition is often the best form of improving any human endeavor. I have begun to see some of you as friends after these few short months. Don't worry, the thread will likely be updated just as often, I just personally will be playing Rock Band. I think Activision ought to give me free input codes to import games into GH:WoR, I have drummed up a lot of buisness with people going out and buying games they don't have :P .

My quick Rock Band 3 review for those that care: good game overall, has more pros than cons. Pros: pretty good setlist but a lot of the songs are the same as GH:WoR, the graphics are SOOO much better as Rock Band 2 was beginning to look really dated, the new peripherals are cool but really challenging, harmony parts are amazing for vocals, the new playlist options are what we have all wanted for a long time, cleaner interface overall is nice, and the ability to continue songs after failing without impunity. Cons: only 4 really challenging songs, you have to have break neck speed on for it to resemble the scroll speed of regular rock band 2, no local score duels, and the game has little changes if you don't play pro instruments. On the PS3 side, the game still hitches and is jerky at times, the activation codes for the Gamestop pre reserve songs didn't work 95% of last night, and the import of RB2 into RB3 was not working correctly. Also, on the PS3 side, they got rid of the game + keyboard bundle and you had to buy both seperately, not cool at all. Finally, in addition to the three RB1 songs you could not import before, you cannot import into RB3 the following 5 songs (Spoonman, Battery, Dani California, Black Hole Sun and Ready to Rock) meaning they took away the on disk songs for Soundgarden, Metallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and ACDC. This is not surprising for Metallica and Soundgarden as they locked up contracts on the GH side, or even ACDC due to contract concerns. It is however very odd for Red Hot Chilli Peppers for one song from the first Rock Band game, one that was exportable into RB2, especially one as popular as that song. So, that makes two games in a row that the title track of the game, the one for the cinematic is not exportable, interesting choice. The biggest new selling point other than the pro instruments is definately the new setlist options. You can save, name and share setlists, play premade setlists that make more sense, and finally, you can rate songs and not have to play the ones you really hate on random. The ability to jump in and out at any time with any instrument even on the career mode is very nice, but you can only play all 5 instruments at once as karakoe for the mics, and offline only, odd choice. Will post about it more on Monday after I play it as a full band this weekend.

As always, I look forward to your comments and updates, thanks for all of you that support this thread.

inorite, i haven't played ghVH Hgtr since.... long ago ; it's ghWoR i'm playing these days But it was more of a general note : if you check something for me, just check ghWoR, that's the game i'm the most likely to get scores on

Wow, really quiet day. Got score updates for WoR Expert for Yksi, Fug, Alex, shred, Mr. Sci, Sammy and Deschain. Only other updates were a minor increase by arvain on SH expert, and some GH2 updates for dave0113 for hard. That was it, very very quiet. Fug just putting in 3 scores raised his rank by another place, he is 7th and "plans to at least finish putting in sight read scores this weekend, probably", likely putting him at least 2nd on Monday. Considering I estimate that he likely has close to 10 million left in just average scores for the songs he is missing that seems accurate, if not he will be just out of 2nd place behind MLG. Hey congrats to Mr. Sci on breaking 220 million, I guess that is the new 190 million. I estimate that when things all finish up 220 might be our cutoff for the top 10.

So, apparently there are more than a few minor glitches to RB3. In addition to it occassionally stuttering and hitching, there is a small chance of a huge distortion sound to occur while playing the keyboard, at least in my copy of the game, that lasts for less than a second but is OMG loud. It resembles the voice of doom from part 7 of 2112 and has happened on three different songs now. There also are some discrepancies about which songs are and are not importable into RB3, depending on region, system and apparently the color of the sky. The list of confirmed songs that are not importable into Rock Band 3 so far are, taken from http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32442 and rising:
Rock Band 1 Exports {Paranoid (Cover), Enter Sandman, Run to the Hills (Cover), Dani California, Black Hole Sun ,Heir Kommt Alex (European version only), Rock and Roll Star (European version only), Monsoon (European version only)}.
Rock Band 2 Exports {Let There Be Rock (Studio), Spoonman, Give It Away, Any Way You Want It, Battery, Visions (Will supposedly be released in a free DLC Pack), Get Clean (Will supposedly be released in a free DLC Pack), Night Lies (Will supposedly be released in a free DLC Pack), Shoulder to Plow (Will supposedly be released in a free DLC Pack), Welcome to the Neighborhood (Will supposedly be released in a free DLC Pack), A Jagged Gorgeous Winter (Will supposedly be released in a free DLC Pack), Conventional Lover (Will supposedly be released in a free DLC Pack), Supreme Girl (Will supposedly be released in a free DLC Pack), Rob the Prez-O-Dent (Will supposedly be released in a free DLC Pack)}
DLC (Temporary, possibly?) {Rock Your Socks (360 only), Rock and Roll Star, Heir Kommt Alex, 666 (360 only), Metal On Metal (360 only), This Is Thirteen (360 only), Pick Me Up (360 only), The Wagon (360 only), Hand Me Down World (360 only), No Time (360 only)}.

Playing on the PS3, with a US system and not being a fan of the Harmonix songs in general anyway, the only real losses for me are Soundgarden, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Metallica, AC/DC and Journey. That is assuming the download tracks are temporary problems, otherwise Here Come Alex and Rock and Roll Star will be missed. As I outlined before, most of those make sense, but I do not know the rationale behind the Journey exclusion, the others are primarily due to losing contract rights to the GH franchise. As with many launches there are a few bugs so hopefully they fix them with a patch next week.

So, I was playing thru the career mode on RB3 and got all the way to the impossible tier on hard difficulty. There are unlockables for getting 5 stars on all the songs in the game and up until that tier I had no problems. Caught in a Mosh was rough and I got 91% I will have to replay that one. Then, I got to the final song on the guitar, and realized that 3 years later it still is just as evil: Free Bird. Had 100% up until the big solo and failed, damn you Free Bird, damn your dark evil soul. Other than that it is a blast for single player on keyboard or guitar.

Ah well enough talking about Rock Band, most of you likely don't care one way or another. As always, I look forward to your updates and comments, thanks to those that support this thread.

I plan on bringing my ps2 back up to the dorm starting next week, so that I'll have some motivation to redux the original 211, GHA, GHWT, and GHM, starting probably with GH3 since there's the most points to be gained there

Van Halen Time I've put half my scores in today, I'll do the other half tomorrow. I had a go at the 3 solos. This is what happened:

Cathedral: FC second try
Spanish Fly: 71k 4* First try, couldn't beat it in 2 goes afterwards.
Eruption: 1st run, failed on 11%, 2nd on 78%. I then looked at the chart and realised the tapping pattern was different than it is for SF. 62k 3* 3rd run.

So far the only one I don't see myself getting is And The Cradle Will Rock and possibly You Really Got Me. My goal for this game is 14 million, but 13 million is a short-term target. I'm also gonna do some more GH1 and GH5 reduxes and try to get to 75 FCs (currently 73) on GH5.

Can direct me as to which FCs I should go for in these games? GH5 I've the obvious 8 left, plus You Give Love A Bad Name, Medicate, 2 Minutes to Midnight and Younk Funk. GH1 I've got all the hard ones (apart from CotC and FotW: random run which I got on vid - it's in my Acc's thread) and Crossroads, All Of This and Godzilla. Thanks in advance.

And bushidox, all the credit you're getting is totally deserved. I can't tell you how much this thread has motivated me - hopefully my actions speak louder than words hopefully I'll get 200 million in a few days.

Screw you, Anarchy Club, That Handsome Devil, and Bang Camero are awesome!

Anyways, almost finished with GHA. After I finish up RB2 HGuitar, my plans are a little less defined, but I'm sure I'll have something.
