Very few updates today. Sammy90, shredinmadness, psxfreak and Kerfoot32 went up some on WoR. MLG put in some updates to VH and broke 228 million, he is likely to be in the top 3, even after Fug puts in his scores, for the foreseeable future. That guy Kramral put in one measley score, something called Jordan on GH2, congrats on that FC. Dave0113 went up a bit on GH:80s on hard, and Chrissss had some random score updates for Hard. The big news today, other than the FC, is that Jleggy12 not only got VH, but put in a lot of scores, and is almost to his goal of 200 million points. Not bad at all for not having all 11 games.

This weekend expect for jleggy and maybe shred to finally break thru the 200 million barrier, if they do we will have more people over 200 million than not. Maybe we can convince Marbler to enter his GH:WoR scores and he can join the fun. The watch is on to see if Kramral can pass Fug in the Original 211 standings, and how Fug will respond. Speaking of Fug, he stated he will be putting in GH:WoR scores so expect him to regain his 1st overall if he does.

Well, I will be playing RB3 this weekend, I will give you a full band report about that when I do. As always, I look forward to your comments and updates, thanks to those that support this thread, and for the kind words.

Hi Bushidox, a question:
are DS games included in the Hard table?
If so is Band Hero included? It should be included as separate to Band Hero for the console as its pretty much a totally new setlist.

1-3 only have the 11 console games, excepting Band Hero. There is no hard column including those additional games, but there is an expert column (the far one on the right).

Sorry bushido, but I'm not gonna have the time I thought I was going to to go through WoR sightreads like I had planned. Something came up that took up all of my free time today and I'm gonna be studying like crazy for an exam for most of the day tomorrow. :/ I got quite a few scores in yesterday though so hopefully I'll move up the chart at least 1 spot. :P

So, updates from tons of people, and updates for literally every game except GH3 for whatever reason (GH:A only update was on the hard side but that was by void and was from 0 to 10 million). Fug didn't get all his scores in, so the top 4 players are safe for another update at least. Mr. Sci, I got bad news for you, you are in 6th on the Expert board, and by my estimate, after you enter all your WoR scores, you will still be in 6th, you should try to go for 5th though. If Axenray gets around to finishing his scores for GH:WoR he will join the top 10 as well, it looks like the cutoff will be around 215 million, if people want to know what to shoot for. Overall, it looks like most of you were really busy with scores all around. One minor correction: MLG I forgot to add in your BH update when I posted the leaderboard update. Your new grand total is still 3rd place, but its MUCH closer to Kramral with 249,262,422 after your 8 million point gain in BH. Jleggy12 and shred, we are waiting for you to join the 200 million club, its a nice round number to go for.

So, on the Rock Band side, we played as a full band, and I can tell you that it is a total blast. Most of my minor bugs and problems that I had with it we ironed out, but we have one major gripe, and that is you cannot have 4 lanes of instruments and vocals and have it count for career. I can understand not having it track that for online leaderboards, etc, but it should still allow you to play five instruments and have it count for progress for all 5 careers. This also means that your band cannot have a keyboarder + guitar + bass + drums, the keyboard replaces a guitar or bass, I hope they patch this. It is a minor thing though, our actual band as it were is 4 members, so we will only be playing 4 instruments at once. It just means that for our band total the wife will have to play vocals for the band and not keyboard as she had hoped, she has been the singer so far to date but it still is a miff for her. It is also amusing to see that the leaderboards are dominated by guitar players, and bass and keys are so far heavily under represented, at least on the PS3 side. As an example, I managed to get 100% on expert for Kryptonite and was pretty stoked, I got 16th on the leaderboard, the bassist playing on Hard got 95% and was 1st, WTF. Having it track both your band and individual progress by each instrument at once is an amazing leap forward, we really like that.

For the casual front, we had a party on Saturday, and the ability to leap in and out at any time, on any instrument, with individual track speed, and the ability to have no fail on is fabulous. We turned it on to karokee style and people sang as they wanted to, and as vocals are the least favorite it meant that a lot of times we had a scroll and no one singing. This is a nice touch, as you can have the lyrics up there with no drawback for your band score, great for a party atmosphere. This is by far the most casual oriented party game I have played in a while, you can have literally 7 people play at once one song, drop down to 1 player for the next song, and have people join, change difficulty, etc on the fly. It is really hard to argue the value of this game for a party addition, and if you have a regular band, so much the better.

As an aside regarding 4 lanes of instruments coming down the screen at once, I really do not know how people with smaller screens can play that way. On my screen it means that each lane is only about 18 inches across, and with all the background effects, etc, that is pretty challenging to see, I cannot imagine that scaled down by a factor of 2 or 3. Remember, we play on a 123" widescreen diagonal, so someone with a normal reasonably sized 50" would be seeing maybe a 6 inch wide bar for the notes. This is further complicated by having now a 5th person crowded around a normal TV, I imagine that would be rather cramped. If you were to further complicate that with pro tracks the notes would be almost impossible to see. 17 keys for pro keyboards for a 6 inch wide fretbar is just, no. Being able to see the differentiation between rectangle and circle for pro drums is the same way, I do not own a pro guitar so I cannot comment on that. So, if you want to pony up for pro instruments, have the band that can play that, are all in the same location, and want to be able to see what you are doing, you need a BIG screen. Bottom line, we are happy with the game.

Enough Rock Band stuff, if you liked the other two iterations, this is more of the same. Guitar and bass have very little in the way of challenging stuff for the likes of you guys, so it would be hard to recommend it to you, unless you wanted to shell out for the pro guitar. As always, I look forward to your comments and updates, thanks to those who support this thread.

I stand corrected, thanks Slasher, you had nearly a 60k redux entered, nothing to sneeze at.

Minor updates, very little change all around. Fug went up another spot, despite the best efforts of Sammy90 to stay above him. It is inevitable at this point that he will overtake 1st overall with all 93 scores, and 8th on the Grand Total when he is done entering scores. Kramral took a much needed break and didn't enter a single score for a change, I think he is finally getting to that wall that all the rest of you hit after a while. All in all, a pretty quiet day.

On the Rock Band side, my wife and I finished out the career for both guitar and keys for hard. We still need to get her 5 stars on keys for Antibodies and This Bastard's Life. Working on finishing out bass on hard now, Roundabout is evil, that's about it.

As always, I look forward to your comments and suggestions, thanks to those that support this thread. Would you guys like a thicker line dividing 10th place from 11th place, so that top ten is easier to see? Just a thought.

I was already 6th before GH:WoR, so it's not like I went down or anything. :P I would love to try and become 5th, but every thing that is GH related is going in the wrong way right now.

Or just put one at every 10th spot (so, between 10th and 11th, 20th, and 21st, etc.)?

Anyways, my parents have cut back my GH time, so don't expect very frequent updates. I would like it if you could go over the games I have and see if I can redux enough for 100mil without starting a new game, though.

To Void: Hmmm 2,618,xxx to get to 100 million points. You have scores on GH:WT for expert but not on Hard which confuses me greatly, and you have never said that you do not have that game. But here goes, my best guess on how to improve your Hard total without any new games:
GH1: 59,000
Smoke on the Water - 8,000
More than a Feeling - 23,000
You Got Another Thing Coming - 5,000
Hey You - 14,000
Cochise - 3,000
Take it Off - 6,000
GH2: 99,000
Message in a Bottle - 3,000
Who Was in My Room - 3,000
Raw Dog - 13,000
Fall of Pangea - FC and 70,000
Trogdor - a minus 2 would get you 10,000
GH80s: 26,000
Balls to the Wall - 3,000
No One Like You - 4,000
Synchronicity - 3,000 maybe
Los Angeles - 3,000
Bathroom Wall - 3,000
Play With Me - 10,000
That should be enough for tonight, that is about 175k in "easy" points, that I would use as a starting point. Yes I know you hate Fall of Pangea but man you are missing TONS of points there. Good luck.

Those scores are on the Wii, which my gramps has but I don't. I do have WT now for the PS2, but thanks to my parents cutting back my time to play GH/RB to pretty much zilch aside from weekends, and the fact I don't want to go over to their house just to play WT, I never did get around to doing Hard (though I did tinker around with Satch a couple times when Drama said I ought to get it, though I was only able to FC all but Solo D).

And its not so much that I hate FoP (I mean, I love the song), but I hate Solo 1C SOOO MUCH!
