Worth noting: So far Blabbermouth has done NOTHING but mudslinging and spreading misinformation ever since MP left Dream Theater.
Most of us over on the MP forums just avoid it these days. Not to mention the members over there make 4chan trolls seem tame. Also to quote Fruno later on in the thread "Blabbermouth is the National Enquirer of Rock. " _________________

So it's been over 2 months since anyone last posted here, but I thought some people may find this interesting. Apparently DT has been nominated for the Best Hard Rock/Metal Grammy for On the Backs of Angels.
I personally won't comment too much on this (as I've already voiced my opinion regarding DT's newer stuff on the RB side of the forums) but I have to say it's about damn time DT got some major mainstream recognition. _________________

Yeah, that's awesome about DT's Grammy nod. What makes it even more impressive is that the Grammys used to have two separate categories for both Best Hard Rock Song and Best Metal Song, so they made it in even with having less of a chance of nabbing a slot. For anyone else who cares, the other nominees are
"White Limo" by Foo Fighters
"Curl of the Burl" by Mastodon (I'm seeing them tomorrow!)
"Public Enemy No. 1" by Megadeth
"Blood in my Eyes" by Sum 41
I'm pleased to see 3/5 nominees in the metal camp, but I'm sure the Foos will grab it (not that they wouldn't deserve it necessarily). But this is an interesting list to say the least. Megadeth and Sum 41 in the same category? Can't wait to see who wins! _________________

Oh god. I think DT deserve the recognition, but I prefer Curl Of The Burl as a song. I reckon a Grammy would properly send Mastodon into the public eye, as opposed to 2008's nomination, but... urgh. I'm glad I don't have to choose.
Fuck White Limo though. Worst song on an otherwise great album IMHO. _________________

Curl of the Burl is one of my least favorites on the Mastodon album :'(
Then again, OtBoA isn't my favorite on DT's album either.
and the other 3 bands aren't very good either.
