Finally got my record player. Just a Jensen with a turntable, 2 CD players, and 2 speakers. Can't wait to actually listen to them now. I still need to muster up the money for Parallax II and the new GY!BE _________________

I'd highly recommend moving those speakers away from the record player. It would be a good idea to take them off of whatever they're currently on and put them on another table or something. Over time, you can have warping issues due to small movements created by the bass in the speakers. _________________

You won't get warping issues from that, but if you're listening to it loud enough, the vibrations from the speakers could cause skipping issues. _________________

It's not just skipping issues though. Anything that adds unnecessary vibrations is gonna create distortion. _________________

The 12" sounds absolutely fantastic. A really fantastic pressing from them, as usual. _________________

I just checked your DeadFormat and saw you had 2 copies of The Devil and God. Are you trying to get rid one of those? PM me on VC if you are and I'll see if we can work something out _________________

Find the skip. If it's dirt, clean it, if it's a scratch, you're probably out of luck.
I just spent $137 on a record >.> |

I think it would be a scratch, since a bit of water didn't seem to do anything. The needle doesn't bump where the skip is though. _________________
