Being a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area for my entire sentient lifespan, it's pretty obvious where my rooting interests lie for this Super Bowl. Not that the Niners owe me anything, frankly: they won five Super Bowls (with no losses!) during my formative years, which gives them something of a lifetime free pass in my book. But still, there was a decade or so there where the team was just supremely irrelevant; it's nice to see them being NFC front-runners again for a change. (And if worst comes to worst and they do lose, I'd feel better about them getting trounced by the Ravens instead of yet-still-another blase Super Bowl appearance by the Patriots or something.) _________________

So, who thinks the pro bowl should stay or be taken away?
Personally at this point, I think it should be taken away, no one cares about the game, it's not that fun to watch. I do think they should do the NFL challenges that they did like once, similar to what the NHL and NBA does. Those were fun and interesting to watch. _________________

I completely forgot about the Pro Bowl until today. Honestly, I'm surprised it has lasted as long as it has.
So nfl.com has put up an interesting Super Bowl Rankings list. I read all the way up to #14 (starting from 46, but stopped READING at this number for obvious reasons ). Some cool trivia and what not in all of that. Some of you might want to take a gander and see where your favorite bowl landed
EDIT: Roger Goodell is doing an AMA over on Reddit. Prepare for it to be hate filled.

Also, apparently something like 60% of the NFL players aren't happy with Goodell and the way he runs things. Interesting to see what happens in the future with his career. |

GAME DAY! Let's go Niners!
I'm still debating on whether or not I should drive the 25 minutes to New Orleans or not for the festivities. I've already missed some but I'm sure it will be going on all night. We'll see. |

So I couldn't quite get it in before the game actually started, but I wanted to state my pick as Ravens by like, a lot. I'll say 24. The Ravens D won't be fooled by all the Kaepernick tricks, and the offense will stay as solid as they have been. They've had a hell of a road to the SB and are gonna keep it up with a big win.
EDIT: My pick is looking pretty good! Nominating this blackout for lulziest thing in Super Bowl history? Major props to CBS for keeping their cool though, they took care of the delay quite smoothly.
So many people must have gotten fired for that. In the grand scheme of things, that has got to be one of the electrical/lighting fuck ups of all time. _________________

In spite of that, they won by 3 points. _________________

Yeah, but I'm not sure about that last call on the Niners. I don't know. Guess it could have gone both ways. I'm disappointed that they played like crap in the first half scoring only 6 points. And then in the 2nd half they score 25. If they had played like that in the beginning, this game would have been a no brainer for the Niners. |

And let it be said that when the time expired to zero these mighty words were spoken.

I think Green Bay did alright in offseason, but our offensive line is one injury away from being turned into a revolving door made of Swiss cheese. _________________

It's 8 weeks into the season and NO posts yet? Well, gotta say, KC being undefeated so certainly something I didn't see, and I don't see lastly. Just looking at strength of schedule would show any logical person that they're going to probably lose to Denver/Indy at the very least. Buut I guess we'll see. Annnd, as an Indy fan, I must say i'm very happy with how Indy's played this year! But with Reggie Wayne out, I just hope that they've got an alternative WR plan of attack. Not saying we have horrible WR's, but Wayne was essentially Luck's go-to guy =/ _________________
