Even Rats 2nd last SP

Measures 164-166

I've tried getting this SP over and over and I always end up JUST short. What's the technique? Do I have to strum late? I know there's the early whammy glitch but I think that's only in GH3 right?

Oh, so I got it mixed up, GH3 is the only "old school" game to NOT have early whammy. Makes way more sense now.
