The star power usage is in blue. The red is indicating that you need to squeeze there in order to hit that note with star power. Basically, this path is saying hit the red note as late as possible and hit the select button in your guitar to activate star power just before you strum. It is also telling you to hit the orange note at the end early so that you hit it before star power runs out.
