Had an unplanned trip home for the weekend and had some time to mess around on the 360. Tried getting the One FC for a couple of hours and completely bombed it so I switched to GH2 and knocked out a few more songs instead:
35 - Psychobilly Freakout - incredibly frustrating, kept missing in completely stupid strumming sections, although I only needed to do the outro once which was a silver lining.
36 - Laid To Rest - Made a mess of the whammy on the post breakdown SP phrase. I'm really horrible at whammy on this game.
37 - Rock This Town Very fun song, only missed the 200 in the second solo, although I can't say I was actively trying for it.
38 - YYZ - so, so many horrible misses in the solo that just made no sense as to why I was missing. Missed 600 I should have easily gotten.
39 - Carry Me Home - don't even get me started on this. Took so, so many tries to get a decent run to the first chorus, and even then I screwed up the Verse 2 activation badly. Went back to it later but couldn't re-FC with good SP and it put me on tilt.
40 - Killing In The Name - one try with a properly functioning guitar. Felt good.
41 - Raw Dog - solid SP, may try for the harder squeezes in the future.
42 - Madhouse - bad whammy for last activation, dropped so many ticks. Institutionalized and this song are so so bad for trying to hold ticks, it's not fun at all.
43 - One For The Road - very easy, strumming is deceivingly slow. Messed up first activation and dropped at least 400 there though.
I also had a crack at the rest of tier 8, tried to grind out Institutionalized FC (so far I have 6 runs that missed in 3E...) and Gemini (missed just before the outro, those stupid    things) but just missed out on them. Fairly good progress for a weekend though. Will update the OP list with pictures and whatnot later.

Found my PS2 copy of GH2 this morning so I decided to boot that up instead of the 360. Spent an hour or so on Institutionalized to no avail, I'm up to 5 misses in 3E now today... I have the highest non-FC score on that song though, that's an achievement, right? >_>
Actual achievement time:
Royally screwed up the second activation so the score sucks, but holy crap I FC'd Misirlou! Currently have two runs where I've missed or overstrummed in the chorus section, one before the FC, and one after. Need to reFC.
Did this fairly quickly, only one miss in Solo D which was -6 or something. I've FC'd Solo D in practice mode for the first time in years, using the HOPO's now instead of straight strumming like I used to back in the day.
Also put some work into Six and The Light That Blinds but not consistent enough on either of those songs yet.

Cheers mate, they certainly gave me some shit for quite a while, The Institutionalized grind really wore at me and caused me to stay away from GH2 until now. Well, that and my PS2 guitar giving up the ghost 
A few more FC's in the last couple of days:
Dear lord this one has given me grief for years now. Glad it's finally over, I don't mind the song but I will always despise the bridge.
Another one that took far too long:
The SP ended up a tad sloppy at the end, but it's about bloody time I got this done. Also dropped a hold just before the outro super early so I didn't choke for the 5th time there. Good enough for 14th though!
Also I'm an idiot and deleted my photo of a The Trooper FC. So there's that.
Couple of other 360 FC's I've done before on PS2:
Collide FC - 274722 - fun song, might go for that 400 at the end soon.
Push Push (Lady Lightning) FC - 336025 - great song but I absolutely despise the SP path for this.
Arterial Black FC - 284696 - Missed 400... somewhere? I'm guessing it was from the solo, I didn't think I missed any of the squeezes though.

Cheers, I've always preferred the older games, it's nice to be able to play them again. If I can find copies of GH1 and 80's I'll be very happy

70/74 should happen *fairly* soon, getting close to it now ^_^
I picked up a brand new, still in its packaging SG guitar a few days ago, so I can play the PS2 version again! Makes for slightly less infuriating strumming. Speaking of strumming:
Sorry for the awful quality photo, it's an awful CRT. This infuriated me for a good few days, and I had 3(?) misses during the outro today alone. Glad to get #68 done, I might try for the 360 FC if I'm ever feeling masochistic lol.
Also ran through some more of the bonus setlist on 360, including the two 360 exclusives which were #66 and #67. I'll get the images of them up later.

| Six FC!!!!!!! Major congrats on that one, that one gave me grief for years. Also, go get Fall of Pangea, though those two songs + Gemini... gah. I'm just happy I never (realistically) have to go play them ever again. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one that it took ages to finally get Freya. Though that one gets much easier to FC after the first time, but you got a pretty good score on it, unlike my first FC. |

Tell me about it! They were all so awful to get. Fall of Pangea is frustrating to the point that I can only do 3-4 attempts of it at a time. Freya was the same thing, they just felt so hard to grind out.
Anywho, quick update on my rage inducing antics this afternoon so far; I decided to warm up on Beast and the Harlot, because why not?
First run. Overstrummed the yellow hold just after the first chorus. Solo D FC.
Third run. Solo D FC. Fuck.
Sixth run, missed in Solo E. >_<
So far I have three Solo D FC's out of the five times I've gotten to it today... Hopefully I'll be back in a few.
