I've been on a roll with the Castle Crashers and Super Mario 64 soundtracks lately. I'm also looking for a way to obtain the Donkey Kong 64 soundtrack, since I can't find it anywhere.
Some of my favorites are the Forest Entrance (CC), Water Theme (SM64), and the Necromancer Boss Theme (CC). _________________

I've been playing Rez on the XBLA lately, and it has one of the coolest soundtracks I've ever heard. The track from the last level friggin' rocks:

Played through the Earthworm Jim games a bit recently and remembered how great the music was.
Subterranean
Tangerine
Falling
And also, I'll throw out that No More Heroes has a pretty awesome soundtrack. It and it's sequel have some of the best game music I've heard in a while.

We Are Finally Cowboys
Gene's Rock-a-Bye (from God Hand and not NMH, but it's the same composer.) _________________

If we're talking original soundtracks, then:
Out of nostalgia, i'd add the Mobil 1 Rally Championship soundtrack as well.
The Tank-O-Box (couldn't find a link, sorry) and Brave Dwarves 2 setlists are pretty neat too.
Other than that, maybe the Minecraft & Terraria OSTs
As far as licensed soundtracks go, Grand Theft Auto, FlatOut, BurnOut, Guitar Hero, Need For Speed and Tony Hawk's series make up the vast majority of my favorite songs. |
