GH2 and '80's are identical minus the HOPO glitch but that is irrelevant since it doesn't effect the timing window. Just makes HOPO's un-HOPOable if you missed it and then restart. GHSH and GHM are the same.

Undeads list is perfect. Matched exactly how I felt.

Just out of curiosity, why is GH1's strumming engine harder? It doesn't seem any harder than GH2, just how HOPO's worked is different. You'd figure if it was any tighter songs like Bark at the Moon and Even Rats would be impossible to FC, yet we've seen many FGFCs, on NTSC no less.

^GH5's strumming is far easier than GHM/SH... I'd put it more with WT, or at least GH3 on your list.

also, what's the difference between RB and RB2 engines? is it just easier strumming? (hence the GGaHT FC on RB2) sorry I don't exactly venture to the RB side very often...

Now that I think about it you're right.

I'm fairly certain they are the exact same engine. People play songs on RB2 for the BNS.

To be fair my opinion hasn't changed too much and I'm shocked at how many people didn't realize back then that WT HOPOs don't have an overlapping back-end windows like GHM and GH5 HOPOs do. GH3 is the same but with an "infinite" front-end. I would probably put GH3 a bit lower just for that reason but there's no way that WT HOPOs are easier than GHM HOPOs. The only thing I could think of that made people believe GHM HOPOs are harder is how transitions between strums and HOPOs are handled; it's absolutely terrible, but that's actually an issue with the strumming engine.
