Xbox 360 - Trinity RGH

Hello.
I've been considering RGH-ing my Xbox 360 S Trinity, and while I did find a fairly decent website, I was curious about a couple of things.

1. How dangerous is it if a wire gets accidentally soldered to the incorrect pin to the 360?
2. Can I recover the system if something goes wrong?
3. Are there any ways to transfer save data, if, say, I'm forced to just buy an RGH console from eBay?
4. What's the safest method of RGH, if any?

Would like help. I'm also curious on how you add the DLC songs to GH games to begin with.
