Is there any possible way to get a star rating next to your total score for a particular difficulty, now that we know enough base scores to do the 6 and 7 star ratings. Maybe even for each group of songs (i.e. face melters, bonus songs) _________________

I think that's a pretty good idea, really. It would give you even more to shoot for. |

Just what we need is more to strive for.
Thing is, this could be done two ways:
1) Total your scores, and divide them by the total base scores.
2) Average your star rankings.
It seems to me you would end up with issues with the first one. For example, I have a crap score for The Breaking Wheel, and Cowboys and Bark are barely 5 star. Almost all of my songs from the first five tiers are 6-star and usually pushing 7. But since such high scores are possible from the 3 hard songs I mentioned, they would be pulling down my overall score considerably.
Besides, how would method 1 be any different from just ranking, since they would both be based on total score?
If you wanted to go the second route, that might be feasible. I'm not sure if it's useful enough to make JC add it into the code base or not, but at least it would be meaningful. |
