4, 6, and 8 measures, for 1/2, 3/4 and full SP, respectively.

OK thanks, I was wrong then, I'm glad I didn't make it like I did the first time, I'll have my SP strategy for this song up by tomorrow like I said. It is a little different and mostly revolves around the fact that I can't get the hard YBOBYB SP. _________________

Light blue highlights the SP combos, and dark blue are the actual activations. Using this chart I have 2nd place behind krimsun (because he's full combo'd it and I haven't).

I had a great strat for this song on hard. It got me 7th place. Does anyone use the same strat that they used on hard on expert? _________________

To quote Mr. Waters "Is there anybody out there?"
OK so........since B3's path is a small square with an "X" in it, and COB promised to put in his path an Sept 7, 2006, and Dspoon's came up short, I had to do this on my own. And my head hurts. Thought I had it with using 5+6+7 and 9+10+11 until I realized 5+6+7 played over 9. crap. Anyway, using 5+6 then 7+8+9 (activating during sp 10 is 6 more notes than activating immediately) then 11+12 was about 158 notes which was Dspoon's tweaked. But 5+6 then 7+8 then 10+11+12 is about 173 notes and here it is without further ado..........if this is best path it is likely what B3 had down monthes ago.
4-2-2-3
4 - next R note
2 - 2nd R note meas. 39
2 - next O note
3 - next note

Can I get an amen we all already knew that from someone who plays well? _________________

My score is pretty bad on this song, so you may take this post with a grain of salt.
I have a different path: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/amortheknife/spanish-castle-magic.jpg
4-2-3-2
Your path is probably better, but i have trouble comboing through your 3rd activation, so this might be more useful for people like me who can't FC this damn song.
EDIT: My first two activations are slightly different from yours, but this is only due to lack of attention on my part. If you can squeeze, use Slowhand's first two points regardless of the latter half of the path. _________________

I'm pretty sure the path I posted over on hard should be the same for Expert, would you mind testing that one out Slowhand? _________________

I'd love to test it by playing it, but I'd need to get more contribution points and upgrade my playing talent
However.......I can count notes and estimate hold points dcecently so here goes.........
Charting both............first activation is the same and cancel out. Second activation are both after 2. Iactivate to use sp7 and yours plays over 7. This will be key later. Score - Piso ahead by 8 notes.
Third activation for me is after 2 plays over sp 9. Yours goes 3 and fits in between 10 and 11 picking up everything. Score - piso 3rd is 6 more notes for a lead of 14 notes. Uh oh doesn't look good for Slowhand. And actually I gotta add my usual caveat that I could be wrong, and this path may have been poted by B3 (I never saw that one, not trying to take credit for someone else's work)
Coming down to the wire now..............
D'oh. Your path leaves just sp 11 and 12 for the last activation. The other path leaves 3 sp and suddenly the chords kick in. That extra sp length at the end provides 30 more notes, giving Slowhand the edge of 16 more notes at the finish line. (and the crowd goes wild) Just kidding.
So...the path I posted might not be "the optimum" path but it does edge out a pretty good hard path. I say pretty good hard path for a reason. Piso check out the hard forum for more _________________

Thanks Slowhand. If I get a little better at comboing this song, I may actually make it to the first page with a song. One of my favorites, and I'm 58th on it thanks to your path. Most of my scores are in the 3-4000's =X |

This path is the easiest to execute IMO because it does not require you to do the immediate activation in the solo.
Chart
4- 4th YB hold, squeeze to the orange note of the star power phrase (overlap.)
2- Sometime during the next orange hold so that you get ticks on the yellow hold after the solo (the one right before the next star power phrase.)
2- 2nd green note, ends on a green note.
2- The first orange in the orange streak, squeeze to the last GR. _________________
