Oh and.....yea....figured it'd use the same engine as THPS3...and 4...and 5...6..7...8....9...10...12.....56.....910....etc. |
Meh the graphics are really dark and muddy and the characters aren't really that good. Guitar Hero 1 looks better than Guitar Hero 3 | but does it play ok..?
I expect nothing less than crap graphics-wise from the geniuses at Budcat games. So long as the fret-board doesn't lag or skip like GH2 + Blackou Bar Epilepsy..... |

All of this is WAY off topic and overtaking this thread. Pay attention to the OP's point, not what you feel the need to reply with.
To the OP, Did you ever get Ihatecomp's tool? _________________

The prospect of customs excites me, though I don't thnk we are merely "an hour away". It'll take a few days at the very least to find out where the charts and songs are, how to import, convert, etc.
Though I highly look forward to the findings (if the insane lag of the internet here lets me see them.)_ |

Ok so I finished extracting the WAD file and it seems like every file is in .ps2 format.

Now all we have to do is crack this "pak" file format. Whatever that is. _________________

My amateur guess is those files are the instructions for the songs to do something like the effects and when something happens in the venue. |

Easier said than done. Have we even determined if this is the note chart or the audio file? Wait... have we even determined if the game uses separate files for each? _________________

Well at least now (theoreticly) if we can't play the boss battles in single player, we can replace a different song. |

I don't think these have to do with the audio files because they are too small. They're in kb |

Yea, but where are the actual charts of the songs. The pak, might tell the chart which notes are HO/POable, maybe? _________________
