Couldn't you guys make a mechanism that will automatically shrink the size of your avatar to the maximum limit? I've seen it done on ESPN.com. That way not as many people would be scouring around for pictures related to the thing they wish to have there that fit the size requirements. _________________

You mean like making it a thumbnail?
The problem with that is someone could link to a picture that's like 5,00,000 pixels and it would take forever to load, just to fill that tiny little avatar space next to the post.
It's fine the way it is now. _________________

Well I don't have a huge problem with it, it's just difficult to find good pics at that specific size(at least on google). _________________

There are several users on these forums who are willing to resize avatars for you. _________________

Just download irfranview ( http://www.irfanview.com/ )- it can resize images to the exact pixel width you need. |

Don't forget, the maximum avatar size is 135 x 135 pixels. Here's a great site for resizing pictures, as well as the freeware that Sully linked to: http://resizepic.com/ _________________
