I need to get rid of my snake.

I have a Ball Python. I didn't buy it, and it's not really a pet the I would ever really go out and buy. I had a friend who's parents left town and he bought it, then upon returning his mother told him to get it the hell out of the house.

It started out that I was only to be holding on to it for a while, but soon enough I had assumed all responsibility of caring for it. Which, don't get me wrong, it's not much work. Fresh water, fresh mice and clean the cage. Thats about all I do. I used to handle her all the time, but I got a kitten, and I don't think they will get along so well.

I can't give it back to the kid that gave it to me, because he moved to South Carolina. I don't mind having it, but I'm about to move out of my apartment. My land lady sold the place and the new guy is a dick and making me move, basically yesterday. I'm going to go live with my girlfriend for a while, but she is deathly afraid of snakes, and doesn't really want her in the house.

I also think it would be a good idea to get rid of it because I don't give her the attention that I once did (the snake, not the girlfriend). So my problem is what can I do with her. None of my friends want her, and she would die if I just left her outside. I actually was told she is part albino, and has a very good chance of producing 100% albino offspring. I've heard that albino ball pythons are quite valuable.

Anyway, I need to find a home for her. So to anyone in South Western PA, do you want a Python? They are quite friendly. She only bit me once, and that was when i accidently left her out all night and kicked her while sleeping and she bit my foot. (right in the little piece of skin between my pinky and second toe

) To everyone else: any suggestions? This kinda has to happen pretty fast, because the dick of a landlord wants me out now. I don't know if a pet store will take her, or if a zoo would.

Any suggestions at all would be great. Thanks in advance for any helpful coments.

www.kingsnake.com is the craiglist for reptiles just put a classified on there and you should be able to get rid of it pretty quick.

A good idea would be taking it to your local pet store. Go there first to make sure they'd be willing to take it. The probably won't offer you any money for it, so hopefully that'll be okay but by the sounds of it you just want the snake out of your hair. Pet stores are most willing to take it because they don't want the snake to die, and they'll make a good sale off of it. Also if you say that the snake is half albino, they'd be more willing to take it so they could breed it.
