You can IMPORT a .mp3 .wav etc. etc.
The song does not have to be in .VGS form.

Yeah, right click the .vgs in the explorer and select import, once at that window, right click the black white area and select add, then locate your mp3, and at the bottom there should be at least 2 alpha drops where you can select right or left, for a general rule just select left for all the ones on the left and right for the others. All this information and more is stated in the official ghex thread fyi. _________________

ugh..
Right click the .vgs file
Click on import.
When the window loads up, right click again and click add.
From there select your mp3.
Then select the channels in this arrangement.
0: Left 1: Right
2: Left 3: Right
4: Left 5: Right
6: Left or Right, you choose.
If the midi specifies an offset, you can change the offset by right clicking on the song after you imported it and adding the offset in milliseconds
Example:
1000 = + 1000 milliseconds, which means your song will start 1000 milliseconds (or 1 second) after the note chart starts.
-1000 = - 1000 milliseconds, which means your song will start -1000 millisends (or 1 second) before the note chart starts.
