|
|
I've built a mid for a custom song, but when I import it into GHEx, there are some things that I didn't expect:
1. I've got a lot of 16th notes in the song (tempo is 90), and GHEx doesn't display them as if they will be hammer-ons. I would have thought 16th notes was fast enough to be hammer-ons, and I put the chart together with th eidea that they would be. Is there a way I can specify hammer-ons? 32nd notes seem to work just fine as hammer-ons, but not 16ths.
2. There are several points in the song where I have several sustained chords following one another. Occasionally, One of these sustains doesn't sustain at all (in GHEx). What is likely to have gone wrong here?
Edit: The notes which specifically don't sustain are those followed immediately before AND after by another sustain (eg, one long hold with some extra strums in the middle). Whether it's a chord or a single note doesn't matter.
I've yet to burn this to a dvd and test it in game, as I'm hoping to not have to do that too many times |

Sorry, my bad.

The first instance of the sustains not working is the BY chord in measure 26. The are numerous times it happens after that point. |

I'll take a look at it now.
Edit: It appears that the holds beforehand are ending after the start of the next one. This would caus the game to hang I believe. Change any holds to a slight amount (even a few ticks) earlier for the ending. In doing this, it was fixed on my end. _________________

Thanks
I had thought that might have been a possibility, but had checked the holds, and they definitely started at the precise tick the previous hold ended.
No matter, I just shortened the offenders by a single tick, and everything seems fine now - Thanks for your help. |

Yeah, one note has to end before another one begins.
Even if that only means it's one tick before. _________________
