So, to summarize... do you recommend setting the TPQN to 480 always, via Fangor's template? And if so, why? I didn't understand the whole thing, actually.

480 is the what RO uses for all of the official songs. This will convert subsequent eighth notes and anything faster into HOPOs. If you want to do a song in a weird time like 6/8 or 7/8, or if you are making a rediculously fast song (over 200 bpm) then you might want to think about lowering this. But for at least 90% of songs, 480 should be perfect.
