Its an open question if GHA has reproducible coop stars/multipliers (it was borked in GH3) or what those formulas for star ratings would be, so for now im not trying ot make any sense of coop data. _________________

Would a 3* with 2.000x be an absolute proof to the point? If so, I'll send mine in.(If it's gonna be useless I won't bother, as it costs me a quarter on my moblie bill to send it in.
Hope it does, because if so I have a new proof(and am sure to do a few more ) _________________

Unfortunately that proves nothing in particular about the actual cutoff because any given displayed multiplier can correspond to 15-25 base scores (depends on how high scoring the song is), and for 2.000, about half of those will be 3*.
As far as sending it on your mobile (i assume here you mean a pic), Re-read the first post again, because for BPP pics arent involved at all, the BPP data is entered using the normal score submission system via the comments field.
If that song hasnt been proofed already such a close score would probably narrow the cutoff range if you submitted it under song stats/proof system, but thats not likely worth any out of pocket cost to you, narrowing is in some ways sort of irrelevant, when the people who are goign ot be doing the final proofing are going to be looking at precise or near-precise estimates when the go to get the exact proof anyways. _________________

Barfo, Sorry this took so long. TMA helped me out with the file compression issues. I still need to look into why I missed the joe perry battle. I thought I picked that up in the latest code. Anyway, enjoy. --Dave

Hey Barfo,
I got a little score on KoR and i did the math right on it, the base score might be around 82,463 points.
My formula(Please tell me if its right):
Score/Avg. Multiplier= Base score
368034/4.463=82,463.365
Like I said, please let me know if this is right way to do this. If so, ill go and help out more on the cutoffs. |

Don't want to bag on you, but there are multiple errors here, and since you said you wanted to know the right way to do it ill just try and fill you in non-judgementally:
* that score/multiplier pair makes no sense for King of Rock (the only song that i can think KoR could be abbreviating) - observe my estimates of base score are in the 51k range (i proofed it last night and te base is 51,095 on X), and debr's upper bound calculation is 242k.
* BPP is not looking for people to calculate base scores for me, it just needs the raw data, i have the fomulas all set up to be able to dump the raw data and efficiently process it. If you are interested in the formula, then yes what you put there is essentially a true relation ( score / multi = base ), however you are forgetting to take into account the uncertainty in the value of the terms (ie score is known to be precise, but multi has an uncertainty of +/- 0.0005), which leads to an uncertainty in the base score, which can be exploited to bound the so-obtained base score estimate. check earlier in the thread pretty sure i posted up the formula in reply to somebody.
* Whether or not you can help with cutoffs does not rationally seem to be contingent on if you have the right formula, the estimates from BPP are in this thread, and also debrs (likely more accurate) ones as well. Getting cutoffs (ie taking pics of the two bounds of a proof and submitting them) can be done just based on the estimates supplied without knowledge of their precise origin. _________________

Alright, its cool, I just wanted to knoq if that was right, lol. Not trying to take your job from you, i just wanted to make sure i didnt look like an idiot and proof the wrong thing, lol. Thanks for letting me know Barfo.
P.S. I got a 1.000X multiplier on a score, is that proof? just wonderin |

Now that Debr extracted the information from the game, does this still is useful ?
Will you tell us when you have all the data you need so we can stop entering BPP ?
thanks,
P.S. The estimate aren't yet in the song's stats page. _________________

Actually, if you (Sham) have it on a Wii, then you will almost certainly get more of a points boost than me in the end, cause many less people will be proofing that (compared ot 360) im sure. |
Surprisingly, it looks like you are going to be wrong on this one. I've finished up Medium now and have only 14 more Hard extended ratings to prove, whereas you've got plenty still to get.
I'll finish them off anyway but unless someone else suddenly sweeps through the 360 Easy proofs then I'm gonna have to admit defeat.......until the next time
Maybe i'll get ON TOUR!!!! _________________

Etiquette prevents me from doing so.
The proofs are done simply for providing extended ratings and once this has been accomplished the rest are left for others to gain contribution points, therefore I will not do the 5* proofs as well.

Yeah i was surprised too that i was going to be wrong, did the projection on this about a week ago and ive been cruising since then
However, note that unless i can somehow manage to finish off about 40 proofs in the span of time it takes you (and possibly zygote) to get 14, then Wii is going to be the first console to be done, which will be the first time ive lost that race. Easy proofs are boring as hell so its incredibly unlikely

Gentleman's races are awesome, whatever the outcome of this round and the eventual overall battle, well contested thus far. _________________

HEy Barfo, I have yet another question
I was just wonderin if this is right as estimates to go for 4* and 5* cutoffs on Dream Police(Easy)
19,974=4*39948 5* 55927.2
19,975=4* 39950 5* 55930
19,976=4* 39952 5* 55932.8
This is not including the (+/-) 0.005 but I'm gonna go try and proof these and wanted to make sure these are the correct scores im looking for
EDIT: I used the 19975 Base score for a run and got 40,000 with a 2.003 so I have right idea I think
EDIT II: Base score is 19,975-19,976. I've got it determined it is not 19,974 |

Easy proofs are boring as hell so its incredibly unlikely |
I saw this, and thought I could at least help out a little on the Easy - 360 proofs, so I started at the end of the Vault (to be sure not to step on each others toes again ).

Thats what I always figured, nice to see you guys do things that way
I shall follow along for this as well.
On a side, damn this is sooooooo much easier with the no fail cheat!
FC up to within a couple k, get your mod 50, then finish it out & enjoy the rest of the song (if its a good one at least )
2 runs through each song is about all it takes with all of the estimate work that has been accomplished.
So Thank You for all of that! _________________
