Not going to lie. As much as I love An Endless Sporadic, they were beat this week. Guilty Pleasures is well, a guilty pleasure.
I'd say, if I was to rate them all.
#1: Guilty Pleasures - Guitar and Bass are wicked fun, great song to listen to. Awesome.
#2: From the Blue/Point of No Return/TTRTS -Also wicked fun and great to listen to. Guilty Pleasures really only beats it because GP is a bit more active in general, and it's 4 minutes shorter, which is alot easier to digest.
#3: Love Holds it Down - This one was a real surprise for me. The chart is good, the song sounds great, and the bass is grooy. All adding up to one really fun song in general.
#4: RockNRola - The song is quite awkward in some parts, but overall the song ends up very enjoyable.
#5: Lemon Frosting - It was okay. Maybe just not my type of song.
#6: You Really Like Me - I really don't like the vocals on this song. It sounds like a bad Dave Mustaine, almost. It's also the easiest song out of all of them, and aside from as section or two, it's not really that fun.
Aside from the last song, this was a pretty good week of DLC. Love Holds it Down and RockNRolla will satisfy the middle ground people. and the two Prog pieces will quench the difficulty thirst of the hardcore crowd (Although expect more bawwing for next month's announcements, of course!) |

Damn the AES song and Guilty pleasures is so damn hard on drums! I managed to 4 star AES on X+ but when I went for the 5 star I failed at the very last note... I was like "FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU MY LIFE!!!". It's a 10 minute song! Why the hell did you put that crazy fill in the end!?! |

Opinions in no particular order based on quick guitar sightreads:
An Endless Sporadic medley: same thing as always - I love their songs to listen to, apparently their album is out tomorrow so I'll be right there buying it on iTunes as soon as I'm awake. BUT, I really don't enjoy playing them on Guitar Hero. There's so much stuff that I can't get my head around, it just ends up annoying me. Also the length is a factor on this one - any song that goes on for more than five and a half/six minutes is generally not something I want to play on a plastic guitar.
Lemon Frosting: good song to listen to, took me a while to get my head around the strumming pattern, but I like it.
You Really Like Me: comes across as a bit of a joke song to me, but I like it. Fun enough to listen to and to play.
RockNRola: great song, chart is alright, could probably have done a bit more with the slider section though.
Guilty Pleasures: falls into the same thing as AES I'm afraid. Great to listen to, but chartwise there's some sections I can't even begin to comprehend.
Love Holds It Down: my favourite to listen to out of the whole pack, and probably my favourite to play too. Not massively complicated, but with a "where the fuck did that come from?" solo, good times. _________________

Sony randomly pushes a button on thursdays unless there's a special occasion like E3, and a free GH5 DLC pack doesn't count as a special occasion. _________________
