OMB Rivalry (Week 1 Results, arvain winner)

Welcome to the Guitar Hero/Rock Band One Man Band rivalry. Currently the only two games that all participants can play are RB2 and GH5.

Scores are due September 27

Rules:
One song per week, will be chosen randomly from any available songs.
Scores can be reported at any time of the week but are due by the end of the night on Sunday.
This is an open difficulty rivalry. If you can't pass a song on expert or can score higher on hard, do so. Just realize the majority of the participants will be playing on expert for most songs and that you will be at a disadvantage.
Pretty obvious, don't cheat; it destroys the experience for everyone
Also, if you don't post scores for two weeks without notifying us you will be dropped from the rivalry. If you re-join you will start from scratch.

Scoring:
Players will compete for the best score on each individual instrument and points will be given based on which rank the player on an instrument. So a 1st place score would be worth 100 points while 2nd would be 90, 3rd 80 points, etc (subject to change based on # of participants). Once each player has his individual score for each instrument it will be added up so that the score total applies to the following:
Guitar = 20%
Bass = 20%
Drums = 30%
Vocals = 30%
This is done so that a skilled guitar player (who will therefore be more skilled at bass) doesn't get a huge advantage. However, it also means winning 2 instruments (guitar+bass) is worth slightly more than just winning drums or vocals.

I guess I could join ONE more rivalry. I can only do RBACDC, RB2 and GH5 because my RB drums don't work for GHVH/M/SH/WT

Sounds tight, I have every gh except band hero (does that really count anyway? lol) and RB1/2

Hey maybe you wanna get this going again??? If so I'm in I can only do GH5 and RB1 cause my WT drum set doesn't work for now I'll be getting a new one soon so yeah

I might actually want to do this but I'm just starting school and need to see how much time I'll have for guitar hero before committing to it.

Well I talked to gio and finger an they said they're up for it so yeah and I'm starting college soon so I'm gonna have limited time too we can make the score due on Mondays so we have the weekends to work on the

Alright, I'll join if you're gonna get this going again

. I could really use an incentive to go for some more OMB FC's and get better at Guitar/Bass in particular.

As for determining the winner each week, I think it's best to average the Guitar and Bass scores (just like the OMB leagues) for the total score, since you need almost identical skills for both instruments... or maybe even use Barfo's equation from the league section, if enough people join.

Warlord I think averaging the guitar and bass score is a good idea

Werelord sure you can join and yeah you do need pictures lol just kidding

yeah I'm guessing warlord will be coming first on drums all the time I on the other hand have some vocals competition (werelord and Whyyz)

Wow, this seems to be picking up steam. I'll edit the first post soon with participants/rules/scoring/etc...

Edit - New OP. Please give any feedback about additions or changes. I just kind of made this up as I went along using a few things I read. Thanks!
