1 is definately harder than smash hits, and maybe imo 3 too, idk im not close to fcing either. but BatM and FIU etc. are so hard on gh1s engine

TTFAF (SH) is considered harder than any song in GH1 to fc. TTFAF regular is considered harder than any song in GH1 to fc.
Therefore GH1 is not harder to FGFC than either GHSH or GH3.

but imo, there are more hard songs to fc in gh1 definately than in gh:hits. in gh:hits, the only top tier difficulty song is ttfaf, but in gh1, theres FIU, BatM, Get Ready 2 Rock, Decontrol, and Texas Flood are all in that top tier.
but again, thats just my opinion

This is true. A FGFC comes down to the absolute hardest songs in the game. So even though GH1 may have more insane songs to FC than SH, TTFAF alone makes it harder to FC than GH1. The only skill you have to have in GH1 is being able to strum every note; nothing is particularly fast or complex.
So really it comes down to which game has the hardest individual song to FC. If you are capable of FC'ing the hardest song in a given game, then you are typically capable of FC'ing every other song in said game. This holds true for GH1 since every song requires the same skill, as well as WT/M/SH/VH, since the hardest song in each of those games is substantially more difficult than the second hardest song. A/5 may be an exception because since the hardest songs in those games aren't too hard, relative to the other games, there simply isn't "room" for a huge skill gap between the hardest and second hardest songs. GH2/80s might be an exception since some people may find BiM easier than BB and the GH2 strum limit makes BatH/Trogdor not only substantially more difficult than they would be in the Neversoft games, putting them in leagues with Jordan, but also that they require a completely different skill than Jordan.
I would say:
gha (clearly the easiest)
gh5 (clearly the second easiest)
gh2 PAL
gh1 (aside from trogdor on NTSC, this game is harder than gh2)
gh80s (bb is harder than batm, making this game harder to fc than gh1)
ghwt (satch is retarded; imo harder than bb)
ghm (somewhere around here. i'm told that one is harder in this game than in gh3, but aside from that ghm isnt too bad. but one in ghm is probably more difficult than satch)
ghsh (not really sure how hard ttfaf is in this game, as i don't own the game, but it appears harder than one in ghm, and seeing as gh3 has one and ttfaf, i'd have to place this game between m and 3.)
gh3 (one and ttfaf in the same game. nuff said.)
ghvh (i'm the one. nuff said.)
gh2 NTSC (trogdor. nuff said.)
there may be some bias here since i've fc'ed gh1 and 2 and am close to 80s. also i haven't played the post-gh3 games very much, specifically sh (played once) and vh (played never). i also haven't put much effort into one/ttfaf (any version) or satch...but just judging from what i've seen and my own experiences, this is my tentative list.

Phantom is right. It comes down to the hardest song. RB had GGaHT which is pretty much impossible. RB is not moving. I'm also taking timing window into account. If we look at charts, I would put GH1 right below GH5, but we all know GH1 is hell due to it's almost lack of HO/POs. However, mastering TTFAF on either games, is a much more difficult skill than mastering GH1's window.
And Phantom, there's no way One is harder than Satch Boogie. There's even a timing window difference. And you really think GH1 is easier than 2 and 80s? I guess you would know better than me but I just can't imagine the pain it would take to FC FiU and BatM. And you really think I should switch WT and 80s? 80 also has BiM and PWM. I'd like to hear some more input on this... |

Am I the only one who thinks SH should be the hardest game? I'd have it as
GH3
GH: VH
GH: SH
TTFAF simply makes it hardest, imo. The speed in which there was a Van Halen FGFC could show that it is easier. And imo, SH has like...three/four really tough songs, and I think the same for VH. But TTFAF to me just makes it that little bit harder.
That entire post could be down to inexperience, but that's just how I see it.

Just posting my list for the GH's -
1. Band Hero - Obviously.
2. GHA - Obviously.
3. GH5 - Obviously.
4. GHM - Pretty much a dumbed down version of One (seriously, lots more people are getting the hang of FSA now) and some strumming. And some more trips that aren't remotely hard if you can FC One.
5. GH1 - Nothing too hard (by today's standards of an "impossible" song), I can pretty much FC every song every try which is not the case with anything past this game.
6. GH80's - Ballroom Blitz is hard, BiM is pretty tough too.
7. GH2 - Jordan is hard, Trogdor is harder, and Troggy/Jordan beat out BB/BiM in my opinion.
8. GHWT - There's a HUUUUGE difficulty jump right here, Satch is much harder than anything in the previous seven games, but it still doesn't match the difficulty of the last three.
9. GHVH - I'm the One's strumming and the triplet tapping in the guitar solos don't match the consistency needed for the last two games, but this is still ridiculously hard, particularly the strumming O_o
10. GHSH - Surprising choice here, but honestly people have spent no time at all on this game, and HOURS on the GH3 TTFAF. Not one person has really had a decent go at this song before FC'ing the other version, and I truly think this is the easier one to FC. It's a tough one though.
11. GH3 - An arguably harder TTFAF and a harder One make this the hardest game in my opinion, despite having a good handful of FGFCs. The amount of time spent on this game in relation to the later Neversoft games is crazy and I think that is the reason why this has so many FGFCs. |

No way WT is harder than GH2 or 80s. But I am almost sold on moving GH1 up, still waiting to hear back from Phantom. You do however serve a good point with VH taking less consistency than GH3 and SH. I'll wait for some more input.
EDIT: Ok, I put some thought into it and I'm gonna switch WT and 80s. And the folks on the RB side convinced me to put RB1 as the hardest. |

Um, how so? There is nothing in GH2 or GH80's that comes even remotely close to Satch Boogie in FC difficulty. Both of those games are child's play compared to GHWT. Satch Boogie solo D is way harder than anything in those two games. |

Ok, I switched WT and 80s. But you really think Trogdor, H18, Misirlou, Bath, and Jordan all put together is child's play compared to Satch Boogie? I'm not budging there. |
