Congratulations for all the irl stuff and welcome back! do you have a working PS3 guitar, or are you only going to be doing 1, 2, and 80s? _________________

Ohshi-
Never thought I'd see Jleggy around these parts again! Glad the BAC 2020 resurgence has inspired you, and I hope you start to play at least somewhat seriously again. I've always considered you to be one of my closest rivals back in like 2012-2015 (we had the exact same FCs before this year, for example). Now that I've passed your FC count and overall score in both bass and guitar, you got some catching up to do!
Oh, and if you want to make some progress in GH1, I can't recommend Mr.Scientist's GH1 practice disc enough! It requires some setup with FreeMCBoot but it's totally worth it. I would never have FC'd FIU without it, and I think it'll help me get GR2R someday as well. Here is the vid with details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRnsapqbOfE _________________

So, the plastar has arrived and, amazingly, it works! It's a GH1 SG and I've played through the first 10 songs of the career on Expert so far, just to get a feel. I'm certainly rusty... but not as bad as I could be. I'll probably be spending some time on lower difficulties to get back into the game with whammy/squeezing, and I need to have a play around with the AV settings on my TV, because there's certainly a bit of lag going on. All in all, quite positive, as I was convinced the guitar wasn't going to work!

Good to see you back, hopefully you will do a few videos too as I enjoyed watching those...
...also, congrats on getting married hope it was a fantastic day and you went somewhere nice for your honeymoon!
...and accountant = cleverness! Bravo!
At least lockdown means plenty of time to play as you can't go out lol |
Thanks man! It feels weird to be going back to GH, but tbf I'm feeling more excited about this than anything else I've done in the past 6 months, so if it can stop me from going mad indoors and I get a few new scores along the way then it's all good!

Haha nice one man! I'm 6 months into it as a career so far, but certainly feels pretty stable, which I'll take at the moment!

Thanks dude! Good to see you still around here, and it's good to be back! Just 1, 2, and 80s for now, will probably move back to PS3 in a bit but for that I'll first need a PS3 :D

So, we meet again :D
Yeah man, I've missed our rivalry for sure, and I'm really forward to getting back into it, as I won't stand for letting those places on bushi's leaderboard be taken!
In fairness, it's gonna be a little while until I'm competitive again on Expert, so I'll be mooching around getting my skills back up for a little while at least. My immediate targets on X though are going to be GR2R and FiU, as I feel like I was very close to them 6 (heck, 6) years ago or whatever it was.
Speaking of, Sci's practice disc looks amazing, where has this been whole of the time I was playing? That will be invaluable no doubt.

Cheers man! Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype! I'm looking forward to it as well :)

Glad to see another face return! And it's nice to see that the gamble for new instruments worked out well.
Looking forward to keeping up with the reduxes. Good luck on reaching those goals, hope it won't be too frustrating. It would be cool to see you get the practice disc working and see if that opens any new doors for a new X FC.
Also, the practice disc has the two GH1 secret songs. Besides just having fun with Trippolette, you'd probably be able to beat my firsts on Graveyard Shift E/M :P _________________

14/12/2020: Update, now with simplified goals!
Got bored of GH1 and running my 3 remaining Expert FCs into the ground, so switched to GH80s and remembered that it's a great game - excellent soundtrack, decent engine, and short enough that it's possible to make good leaderboard progress in a short space of time.
So, I'm happy to report one of my prouder achievements - GH80s Easy 2nd place overall!
To be clear, these scores have all been achieved without the SP lag glitch, so it's a direct comparison to morty, Doughboy, Kubuh etc. below. Not to take anything away from Tan in 1st - the dedication that has gone into that total is beyond belief.
But I'm happy with 2nd, and hitting way more NI squeezes and paths than I thought I'd ever hit in the process. I capped it off with an NI squeeze on Holy Diver that hasn't been hit in a run without the lag glitch before, so I nice way to end. I'll move onto Medium now, with the tentative goal of hitting 2nd place there as well. It will likely be a little more competitive, but I seem to be on a roll with this game, so happy to see what happens for now!

So the PS3 leaderboard king has returned! First time im writing to u since i started my own forum in 2016 i think, didnt even know about forums before 2016 and u've been away since 2014 so
Always been admiring you for your unbeliveable points since 2009 or something like that, crazy. You're like a father of GH to me I've been watching ur scores at all GH games since i was literally 8 yr-old and now im 19
Only game where i care about points is GH1X and u still have 28k more points than me, even thou u have 44/47 and i have 46/47!!! , thats the ONLY game where i could possibly ever get better leaderboard placement than u, now that u came back thats one of my goals Only leaderboard i have better in the whole series is Tier 6 songs in GH1 and i had to re-FC Cowboys 5 times, TF once and Frankenstein 5 times, and got best non-FC streak on BatM in the world so it took time and effort, yet u are so close to my points in tier 6, amazing i dont know how u manage to get these scores that u get, damn
Glad to see u here after all these years _________________

Nice job on the squeezing! Hopefully this will translate for X reduxes too! I know I had a pretty sizeable lead on the ps2 games so I predict that will narrow down significantly :p
Also since you're playing 80s... BiM is waiting for ya... just sayin :p _________________

WHAT???
How are you gonna slide in a sneaky new FC like that, dude? And one that I still don't have, at that! TDWF is an amazing FC, and I am a little scared at the possibilities of what could come next. Something tells me the floodgates are open and we're about to see a lot of new FCs to come... _________________
