Peyton Manning's last two playoff losses have had him losing QB duels against Mark Sanchez and Joe Flacco (on the road, nonetheless). *sigh* at least I had them choking in the Super Bowl anyway. I have yet to predict an AFC game correctly so far in the playoffs, but I am currently 3-0 in the NFC bracket. Go Seahawks! _________________

I like seeing Pete Carroll screw up. I dislike the Seahawks because of him alone. I'm glad they're gone, that bandwagon was becoming insufferable.
I'm also glad that Ryan got the monkey off of his back regarding the playoffs, and the Falcons finally won a playoff game under this regime. I hope they win the Super Bowl, but if they lose next week, I hope SF wins it. Whoever the NFC champ is, I want them to win. _________________

I don't get all the hate for the Seahawks. And this is coming from a Packers fan. So what if Pete Carroll screwed up? They came back from 20 down in less than a quarter and nearly won the game. At least they're not Denver. 35 seconds left, two timeouts, and Peyton Manning is your quarterback. What do you do? Take a fucking knee? WRONG.
Even though Mike Smith made some terrible decisions late in the Falcons/Seahawks game (Timeout with 13 seconds left, and that awful squib), at least he went for the win, unlike John Fox. Just another lesson in football theory: He who ignores an opportunity to win and tries not to lose will probably lose anyway. _________________

I agree with Kris, I haven't seen anyone jump on the Seahawks bandwagon this year. Maybe I'm just missing all of it somehow? I remember seeing loads and LOADS of people on the Saints wagon in 09 but not much for the Seahawks this year.
Also, I'm rooting for a Harbaugh Bowl. That should be fun. _________________

Though I cheer for the Giants, I still support the Falcons. The city has been a buzz all week. Does anyone give them a fighting chance against the 49ers? After Kapernick's single-handed dismantling of the Packers, I don't know if Falcons fans should hope too much. Thoughts? _________________

They have a fighting chance since they're at home, but I'm still giving the edge to SF. _________________

So I'm 3-4 on my picks so far, I've left out the Ravens/Colts game because I went back and forth so many times on that game that I don't think I should count it, lol. Been some really interesting stuff so far. I was convinced that an experienced Packer team was going to take it to SF last week, so glad I didn't put money on that game as I had originally intended. Kapernick fuckin scares me, he really looks like he has the potential to be an entirely new breed of elite quarterback.
As such, I've got SF winning tomorrow but I'll be pulling for Matty Ice and crew for selfish reasons. Gotta pick my Pats too, of course. A rematch of that wild Sunday night game would make for a great Super Bowl, but the Falcons are a much better matchup for the Pats.
As I've matured I've more come to terms with the fact that sporting events (football's one-game system in particular) are all just a roll of the dice, so if the Pats don't pull it out tomorrow I won't be too heartbroken. They played VERY well against Houston though; the score didn't show total domination but it really was, the Pats played nearly flawless football as far as I'm concerned. If they play like that they'll beat the Ravens without much issue, but you can't expect that every week. I'd give them about a 70% chance of victory on Sunday. It'll be fun to watch. Rally the troops pizzza! _________________
