One of my biggest regrets was changing the music I listened to in late high school / college to "become a more well rounded musician" and make my parents happy. I used to listen to a lot of hard rock and some metal, but then started listening to everything, which ended up becoming nothing And now I feel like I've missed out on a lot of good stuff, and it's time to change that
What do y'all consider to be some of the best Hard Rock / Metal albums to have come out in the last 20 years?
For reference, here are some of the ones I liked best before I stopped listen to that sort of music - The Paramour Sessions (Papa Roach), One X (Three Days Grace), Flyleaf (Flyleaf), Break the Cycle (Staind), Astro Creep 2000 (White Zombie), Helmet (Helmet). I also finally gave Avenged Sevenfold a proper listening for the first time recently, digging City of Evil
