Not only is this useful for the TTFAF intro, but according to the Interesting Information About Guitar Hero page, the only chords that are in Jessica require the green fret, therefore you could FC the whole song with the green button held down. Hmmm...

PS yeah i know this is old, but i'll keep it bumped up for all to see, as it's just another example of how hardware ingenuity surpasses technique any day (although it's still not a valid score. makes a better looking guitar though. )

OMG LOL! that is funny. I've got to do that some day.

And btw: the intro of ttfaf is played on a spanish acoustic for the studio recording and on a keyboard when played live. They can't have herman change guitar that quick like so they just have the pianist play it.

Definately overkill. Good idea though. But if you can play the rest of TTFAF, you'll be able to learn the intro in like 1 hour if you really try. Just learn which fingers you can tap well with.

Nice switch. They should make game guitars with switches like that for all the notes. Same idea as solo buttons or a tap/slide strip that doesn't need to be strummed. Who cares if it's the user or the game company making the equipment?

Then again, the world record people don't let them use hyperspeed. Ah well.

I wonder if musicians consider using pre-recorded filler, a keyboard, changing the notes in a song to more simple chords, a capo, volume knobs, foot switches, effects boxes, or tuning to drop D and the like as cheating.

So can anyone tell me how to do this with the LP fretboard? There are 4 contact points per fret and I'm not sure how to get the wiring working.

EDIT: Ok fuck it I just decided to solder to the ground points, but I still can't get a current flowing.

Actually, scratch that, I get a current flowing by connecting the two terminals on the switch to each other, but... uh... that defeats the purpose of a switch now doesn't it? Isn't setting it to the ON position suppose to flow current between the two ON terminals at the bottom?

also >mfw the switch is too big for the top of the neck to close all the way lol

Why would you want to do this mod yksi-kaksi-kolme? You don't need help to pass TTFAF, lol.

Lol I just thought it would be pretty funny to do, plus my friend needs help passing it so I could let him use it :P

I did figure out the wiring though after I got rid of the stupid switch I was using before and got a solderless one... not sure why that made a difference but it did
