FDXCpinballwiz's Accomplishment Thread
Youtube Channel
9/21/10: BIG Update. After I reduxed some GH3 and GH5, I decided to try and knock out as many of my remaining fc's left as possible before GHWOR came out. Well after almost two months, I have gotten 13 new fc's including 5 in the last week. Here they are in order obtained.
All of This- Began to consistenly hit the sweep that kept me from the FC and only took a few runs to hit those chords.
No Sleep 'Till Brooklyn- I decided to just grind this one. It took around 45 minutes I would say and I now never have to play this again.
Back in the Saddle- Been overdue for a long time. GHA FGFC
Freebird (GHSH)- I honestly don't find this hard at all, just long.
All Nightmare Long- I love playing this song so I've had a lot of practice with it. I randomly fc'd past solo 1b and did my best not to choke, and miracously I didn't.
Six- !!!!!!! Ok, this is my far my best of the fc's. I realized after a long time that the main reason I missed was because I strummed too fast (I failed to realize that I just may be strummng faster than the limit). So I slowed it down in the verses and I hit that everytime. The 2 fast strumming sections come natuarally for some reason. I utilize the first hopo of the series and then I switch on an upstrum each time. Wierd I know but it works for me, feels more natural. The only part I had to worry about after that was the intro...which is in the beginning. So wah-lah, my best fc ever.
Spanish Castle Magic- There's some trippy parts near the end but nothing too hard to learn.
You Got Another Thing Comin'- Ok, I absolutely hate this song so I'm glad to have this. I don't mind Judas Priest, but this is such a terrible song.
Round and Round- I hit the 24 nps hook...and then I didn't choke.
Hear About it Later- Ok this was very easy, I'n not gonna lie.
Romeo Delight- And despite what elScarecrow says, this was a bitch.
Hot for Teacher (GHVH)- I got this right after Romeo Delight...like two runs after.
Gemini- I actually got this one this morning. I practiced the bridge for over an hour getting comfortable with it. The fc only took 6 tries later.
I also finally got For the Love of God which is one I've been grinding for a while.
Now I will take a one week hiatus with mostly just fun playing and whatnot, and then I will begin GHWOR. Hopefully the charts will come out soon for it. These new FC's also put me at 530/565 FC's (4 better than elScarecrow hehe)
7/25/10: Several updates from today, first I obtained 2 new scores.
Hiert Commt Alex was a global 2nd and tied with Ape...so I think I did good with that. Then I also got a One Big Holiday 1st global from fug, which makes my only not optimal first on GH5 (stay away elscarecrow!!!!).
Afterwards I went to some GH3 dlc, after three -1's on For the Love of God (including a reverse choke where I missed before fast solo a, what the hell!!) Then I decided to do some dragonforce just for fun and came up with this on Heroes of our Time: Awesome video you want to click on.
Oh yeah, I was just kidding about the hot women
7/18/10: FUCK!!!! Ok, 8th tournament to get to WCG, I'm in the final four. I play Hellashes first round and win pretty easily, he misses in one big holiday and I win like 50k on scatterbrain, though he could easily blame lag for his performance there. I get to finals easily and who comes from the losers bracket to face me...Hellsashes!!!
First round, he beats me in Scatterbrain (I absolutely sucked) and I handle him on Demons. Tiebreaker is American Girl, this is where it gets good. During this run my guitar decides to overstrum in starpower...twice >_>. It finally started. I only lose by 6k tho....6k!!!! I should have won, but its all in the game. Round 2 of finals, he beats me by 4k on Scatterbran and I handle him again on Demons. American Girl I never had a chance, he fc's solo i think and beats me...so much fail.
But congrats Hellsashes, hopefully I'll be seeing you at nationals.
7/16/10: Don't you love when you get an FC first run of the day...now don't you hate it when you get that FC on a whammyless guitar >_>. My guitar likes to overstrum and the only way to stop it from happening is to give it some breathing time, then for some reason it won't do it for a while. The only time I use it is during WCG competition, and for training and other random playing smokyprog gave me his old guitar to practice with...the only problem is that the whammy doesn't work. So I decide to play 21st Century Schizoid Man just for fun, and pull out a fluke run and FC through the solo and somehow manage to not choke. I end up with a measley score of 369,462; over 20k less than my high score for the song. But overall I'm just happy to have GH5 fc'd. I might go for it again with a good guitar.
In other GH5 news, I have finally become consistent at Groove B in Scatterbrain. This part used to kill me, but by focusing on the oranges and hitting them a bit early, I can hit it consistently...20 times in a row consistenly. This is good because this is the song that everybody would kill me at in WCG competition. I'm still terrible at Groove C for some reason so if anybody has some pointers, please share
Finally, I also now finally have a good method for Solo 1 in Done with Everything, Die for Nothing. (Another method I used to suck balls in)
elScarecrow gave me this method and I finally got it to work.
1 1 2 3 1 2 3 4 1 2 1 2 2 3 3 4 3 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 1 2 3 3
tapping (1=index, 2=middle, 3=ring)
finger is planted
I can now hit the solo approx. 40% of the time. Better than the 0.2% of the time I used to be able to hit it.

nice to see you followed the "zsjostrom35" method of accomplishment thread making.
of course, it's even nicer that you've finally made a thread! your name is hard to miss on the ps2 GH3 leaderboards, and I've made it a little goal of mine to pass you. Your squeezing skills are just insane... not sure if I could ever match you in that regard. (though apparently I have an optimal over you- yay lay down, lol!)
also, isn't the ps2 missing ticks on SMK? I've been wondering how you got that score... then again I wonder how you get most of your scores, since they're so good. :p _________________

For some reason I really suck at Lay Down haha. And yes, I'm pretty sure the SMK is one of the PS2 songs missing ticks. That's why I got this score on my neighbors Xbox but put it as a PS2 score because I am a sole PS2 player and didn't want a random xbox score. I hope the mods don't mind too much on that. I did that for another song too but I can't remember which? And good luck with your GH3 journey; i'm in the midst of getting some more reduxes. Maybe I'll go for that Lay Down score. haha

Actually, I don't even tap Flood anymore. I one hand the whole thing but if i ever am gonna get the FC I think I'm going to need to practice elbow strumming those 3 last YB trills. _________________

ahh, here it is. it took me a LONG TIME (like 25 seconds) to find this thread. i'm contemplating joining this "shit" rivalry, depending on how quickly codemann decides to release GH5 charts.
also, as i sit in computer class right now, im going to repath even flow just for grins to make sure we have the right path. _________________

You should, I looked at it just now and it has a lot and I mean A LOT of high quality players.

Good, I should be available on Friday and maybe Saturday but as we say, you shouldn't make plans more than two days in advance. _________________

Alright, the 3rd out of the big PS2 squeezers has finally made a thread. Nice stuff here too. I say we go ahead and attempt to take down some of Scarecrows stuff (even though that probably won't happen XD) _________________

I'm mostly talking about GHM. I'm planning on getting GH5 for both 360 and PS2. But looking at these and the spreads from 1st overall, theres probably only 2-3 I can reasonably go for without spenind 4 hours on. I think you have alot of them pretty hard to beat on a PS2 engine. _________________

So I assume that the other two that your talking about is elScarecrow and yourself?...though there are many other I could add that play GHM such as jugular, SlashManEXE, MetallicaSlayer, LapinCretin, Samson007..may I continue lol.

I actually have been getting an urge to restart up metallica so this is deffinately in the making. I shall not stop until I have at least taken half of his PS2 firsts. Goodluck matt...may I call you tht? lol _________________

No, I actually put you Scarecrow, and jugular ahead of me. I don't know if Slasher has made an accomplishments thread (If you have, post so I can post in it?) so I didn't include him in there. The others I never heard of or knew they existed on Scorehero.
In otherwards, no I didn't include myself when I said hte 3rd of the squeezers. I would have said so otherwise, but thanks for pointing out what could be a very, whats the word i'm looking for... Uhm, dickish statement.
Oh and you can call me matt, or you can call me the man who shall try and bring a hault to your plans lol. _________________

Good to see some heated competition for PS2 firsts, mind if I join the party ?
OH, and PLEAAAAAAAASE don't retake GHWT 1st overall >_< it was very frustrating having to reobtain it twice lol. Nah, j/k of course, but I got GH5 so hopefully I'll see you, scarecrow, matt, slasher, metallica, fer, lapin, MrOmyA, up on the leaderboards _________________
