Do you guys think this is it? I was about to start up on my tech metal stuff..... A different set this time, but still tech... I hope they didnt just give up. I think I'm going to make a few songs regardless.

I made a song, guys! Or more specifically, made a cover of a song. This is my first proper outing in GHTunes, so go easy on the constructive criticism, if you actually want to download the song, that is.

Song Name: Surrender (by Cheap Trick)
Charting Name: Surrender
Console: 360
Comments: starting out with a old favourite from GH2. Took me ~8-10 hours to make. Instruments are rhythm, bass, drums and keys. I'll give intensity ratings for guitar, bass & drums, but not keys. I've gotta give a big thank you to atrueg/Deon101 for making a great guide for GHTunes.
Intensity:
Guitar: 2
Bass: 3
Drums: 4 (you'll need double kicks for one tricky section)

Guitar: 9/10
I charted all the solos to guitar, and there's literally no breaks from constant 16th notes in this song ASIDE FROM the very start. So have fun with the unrelenting "this is fun" .

Bass: 8/10
Also pretty unrelenting, even more so than guitar technically, but no solos. Lots of open note fun too.

Drums: 8/10
Lots of stuff with double bass but not much too difficult aside from some fills, but it's Mike Portnoy so it's not easy either.

REMAKE of a GH5 custom because it was a really good idea then and a really good idea now.
I haven't actually uploaded this yet but it's done and ready to be uploaded, I just forgot earlier

Lol mine's strum-broke again but the solos are still fun if my fingers are warm enough for them

I've got a new song. It's the first part of my ambitious (not the Top Gear kind of ambitious) project to cover all of the Foo Fighters "Wasting Light" album. I've finished the first track on the album, here's the details:

Song: Bridge Burning (by Foo Fighters)
Charting Name: BnAUght47
Console: 360
Video: if I get a HD capture card.
Game: GHWoR

Chart details:

Guitar: 4
Mostly chords. A lot of chords. The main difficulty will come from the verse riff, which has frequent 16th note burst strums. The rest isn't very hard, but it's over 1600 notes long.

Bass: 2
Basically a watered down version of the guitar part. Not much to say, really.

Drums: 7
This is where this song is gonna kick your ass. There are a lot of rolls in this song, almost always having random crashes or toms thrown into them to make them more chokeable (especially the outro roll). The rest of the song is a bunch of awkward patterns that are quite chokeable. Taylor Hawkins being a beast of a drummer make at least one part of this song quite challenging.

I haven't uploaded it it yet, because the servers are being kinda derp here in Australia. I'll try to upload it as soon as possible, though.

I'm glad other people are charting drum songs, I'mma play those because Foo Fighter drums tend to be pretty fun

I've yet to bother with wah effects, I doubt GHTunes has any good ones anyways.

for natural harmonics you're going to have to find the specific tone and just chart the note, doesn't let you do actual harmonics

Err... I've encountered a problem regarding the progress of Rope. If I charted it now with the "5-star" GP chart I have now, I'm gonna be really unhappy with the result. So, I'm going to be skipping Rope for the time-being until I can get a good-enough chart that I'm happy to use, since the one I have now sucks. It also sucks that there's delay up the ass in Rope. That really doesn't help.

As compensation, I'll be working double-time on Dear Rosemary and White Limo to try and get them done ASAP. Dear Rosemary won't be too hard, and I've already done a bit of White Limo.

Question: should I use keys to chart vocals, or would you guys be okay if the songs didn't have vocals? (I was going to do it for I Should Have Known anyway, because the vocals are kinda important for that song to work.)

I only use keys to chart vocals if there's no harmony guitar track. I've never heard the song, but if Lead and Rhythm will cover all your ground with guitars, then I'd go ahead and chart vocals to Keys
