Band Hero Pedal and Cymbals

Hi all,
I've just bought BandHero (mainly for the drums and guitar). When I had my drums ready to play with, it seemed that it didn't register any cymbal or pedal hits, any idea how to solve this? Is there something I forgot to do? (And yes, the wires are connected)
