I posted this on youtube, but I'll post it here too. Does anyone else get the feeling it's going to feel unnatural playing fills? The three pads are right next to each other physically, but ingame they are shown as two notes away. I have a feeling many people are going to hit the wrong pads for awhile.

Well I've only seen the YT quality version and it looked just fine with me. I can see the bass just fine, I'm sure I could see the bass drum bar better if the quality didn't suck, but it's certainly recognizable, and what is with people thinking that three note chords mean it's "overcharted like usual"?

This looks like GH3 to me and I see no problem with it. GH3 was very playable and tons of fun. If Aerosmith is a sign of things, then the series is getting better definitely. How about we wait for some video around the actual release. GH3 looked like crap at first also and then looked great when it was released.

I don't think the opinions should get out of hand until we've seen more than 30 seconds of footage for the game :P I wouldn't count GH:WT out yet, we'll leave that to the setlist. Chances are, I'll end up getting both games anyway, because I'm a whore.

Also, Rebel Yell looks like a great song for this kind of full-band game. Now get to releasing footage of the Studio Mode, pl0x.

And Everlong is win no matter how it's charted. >_>

A few gameplay issues I have. Mostly lolwtf stuff..

1. Shared Rock Meter and Star Power it seems. This seems to be a completely impossibly horrible way to do things. You have to practically have your souls intertwined by the looks of it to activate star power.
2. That bass line is somewhat hard to see. Especially amidst some chaos that might occur in later songs. Also, I saw some overcharting going on already on the drums. Some notes seemed like they don't belong.
3. The way the notes just vanish into nothingness is really awkward and messy looking. Sure, this is a beta build, but even RB's beta had notes that vanished properly.
4. Shared note streak + notifications every 50 notes + Shared... Everything... This is all just... I mean, god, I've always preferred Rock Band, but I might have bought this game if everything didn't seem to suck so much.
5. The game looks overall way too childish for me. Sure, this might not seem valid, but even Rock Band's demo looked better than retail GH3, and I looked forward to it. This game, not so much.

Sorry Neversoft. I'm disappointed. I'm severely disappointed. You need to step it up, or give up.

My only real problem with it is the combined Star Power and Rock Meter.

Seems very counter-intuitive, especially if you're playing online. Look forward to going "OK, everybody do SP...NOW!" and having to restart the whole song because your drummer got caught up on a tough part in one of the 13 Tool songs in the game

The game looks like shit, but at least they cleaned up the guitar charts a bit. They're starting to resemble Rock Band charts, which is a good thing.

Aside from that, I seriously can't be the only one who thought the bass notes on the drum "board" were just the regular scroll lines on any other fretboard in GH/RB. Definitely not buying this.

e: yes I know early test build blah blah but how much can you honestly change in three months
