I grew up in California, I still go back every few months to visit the folks, and I always make sure to stop by there once. Come on In N Out, expand the franchise already damn it!
Also, the X by X goes up to any number. I have a friend who claimed to have eaten an 8x8 before, but he was always a bullshit kind of a person so I don't know if he was telling the truth. |
It had to be done: http://www.supersizedmeals.com/food/article.php/20060125050438458
And In N Out is indeed quite awesome. I went to California last summer and had some; it was delicious. All of those west-coast-only chains; Carl's Jr., Jack In The Box...quite tasty.
Oh well, at least there's a FiveGuys a mile away from my house...and there's Wawa...but otherwise, the east coast fails at getting good food places...damn. |

I love single burgers anyways. I always have two single burgers instead of a 2x2.
Also I think the fries are very good. They are fresh, which is the greatest part. |

What is the range on this chain? Is it only in the Califonria/Las Vegas/Utah area or does it extend north to like Oregon or something.
I still think the best fast food burger is Harvey's. It's mainly an east coast canadian thing, but theres a few in the Vancouver area. The quality of the burgers is excellent and you can put whatever kind of toppings or sauce you want. I persinally go with lettuce, banana peppers, pickle, BBQ sauce, and hot sauce. So good, probably better than your greasy American food. _________________

This thread is interesting. People talking about Inn-N-Out as if it's some sort of magical artifact.
I guess it must be since I've always been around them.
But they are good. And the fries even better. Best damn fast food fries I've ever tasted.
But I'd still take a Carl's Jr. 6 Dollar Burger over an INN. Also, I read somewhere in this thread that Carls Jr. is west only? Is this true? _________________

In N out Burger is the only burger that I get with tomatoes. I normally hate tomatoes but after trying one of their burgers I decided to permanently go with their recommendations. _________________

Yes and having moved here from Texas I can tell you that the excitement doesn't compare between going to an In-N-Out than to a Carls Jr. To me, In-N-Out is almost a reason to move out here. _________________

Ewww that 100x100 burger looks gross... and the raw patties at the end. x__x You know, they should have made a movie about that, instead of McD's.

There is Carls Jr. here in singapore. More expensive than McD's though. _________________

So having never heard of them before, I found their website and searched for the nearest location. It's in Tucson, 2081.45 miles away...
One of the few times where living in New Jersey isn't so great (and if you make any jokes about NJ's cleanliness, I will personally kill you)
Next time I visit family down there, I'll have to find one. Or when I finally go on The Price is Right. |

From what I've gathered, Carl's Jr. (mostly west coast), Hardee's (Midwest, what I grew up with), and Star (east coast) are pretty much all the same restaurant, owned by the same parent company, just named differently for some reason. It'd be like McDonald's calling all of its Midwest locations Happy Burger Land or something.
More on topic, I still say the absolute best burger is a tie between a Hardee's Mushroom & Swiss Thickburger, or burgers that you grill yourself.
Also, White Castle burgers are scrumptious. _________________

to those saying Carl's Jr. is west coast only- technically it is, but here in Tennessee, we have Hardee's. same thing.
OP, I hadn't really heard of in-n-out, but know I really want to try it
Edit: and here, we have the best fast food ever:PALS |

To clear it up, Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are owned by the same company because Carl's Jr.'s company bought Hardee's some time ago. I don't think Star is related (I've never heard of it before, and I can't seem to Google anything about it).
