But, as mentioned before, tiers are arranged by passability, but FCability. Placing songs based on how easy it is to FC them iss the scorehero way of thinking, and (just this once) it's not the right way. |

Some bands ask to be placed in certain tiers. Also, would it make much sense to put "Rock This Town" in Face Melters? _________________

Third song in the seventh tier. BAM! Explained right there. |
Yea, they planned to put it to third tier but then someone came up with this joke and they overcharted it like shit to make it happen.

In GH2 songs are placed just by difficulty but in GH3 every tier has own musical style, if you know what i mean. |

because Cliffs of Dover definitely belongs in the same tier musically as Raining Blood, Number of the Beast, One, and TDWDTG _________________

Well, if you squit your eyes and twist your head a little, it almost looks like that the tier name says "Attack of the Contrast" _________________

so this kinda goes along with this and i thought this would be easier than starteding my one topic.
Do you think guitar hero overcharted 3s and 7s or rockband undercharted it. or a combination of the two _________________

I think the song is just power chords, meaning Rock Band was dead-on. Unless they were bar chords in which case GH was semi-right. |

With that in mind, here's a quote from Brian Bright about it from that article in the topic that BriGuy made about GH3 being hard.
Bright wrote: | Yeah, [GH3 was] too hard. A lot of that is chalked up to learning. Learning about the consumers and focus testing. In Aerosmith we made it much more linear, we devised a series of rules as to what constitutes a tier 6 hard song and what differentiates it from a tier 7 expert song, we came up with a rule set for this. |
That said, unless I'm misunderstanding and these will first apply to WT, you do have to wonder how these "rules" put Dream On in the 5th tier. <_< |
how do you know dream theater is on the 5th tier? and if you know the tiers then i would love to hear them, for real no one has said anything about tiers except merely there are none in this game. you play setlists or something |
