So, I'm going to wait out until all these instruments get fixed for World Tour. In the meantime, I'd like to play Guitar Hero (Recently bought a PS3, PS2 broken).

Anyways, I'm thinking about buying a used GH3 from GameStop. I was wondering what your opinions were on used games from there (haven't bought any used games myself from there), and how long they last. For the guitar, I'm probably going to buy the TAC Double Range. I've heard it's one of the only guitars without variable lag (I'm hoping for no lag?) on the PS3.

So, I was just looking for opinions on how GH3 and the TAC Double Range works on PS3.

PS: PS3 DLC has all the same songs as 360 right? (actually, I only care about The Devil and We Three Kings, but nonetheless...)

EDIT: Actually, it seems the GHWT guitar is not that bad either. I could just get the guitar pack if there doesn't seem to be much trouble with it and find the drums/mic later. Opinions, personal experiences?

It's really hard to scratch a Blu-Ray disc. Steel wool doesn't make a dent. The DLC for the PS3 is the same as the 360 but it doesn't have the Halo 3 theme, it has the God of War Theme (and vice versa). You should the GH:WT guitar instead of something third party.

Don't get a 3rd party guitar, get the WT guitar. There are reports of problems with it, but there always will be with any guitar, and if something happens to yours soon after you get it you can be sure you'll be able to return it to RO for a new one. From my personal experience with it I can tell you it's a really good guitar to play with also.

edit: it doesn't have lag issues either

Rex, I'm planning to get GH:WT for the PS3 when I get one, and the PS3 Bundle in the UK consists of the WT Bundle, and a free Bass, which is reportedly the Les Paul. Now, I've heard that it Lags on GHIII, which I already have on Wii (along with GH:A), but does it lag on the other LP Compatable games? (RB1, RB2, GH:WT, GH:A). It might be just a GHIII problem.

Yeah, I'm actually going to get the WT guitar sooner or later. But I'm waiting to buy the bundle (which means, until drums get fixed).

For the third party guitar, I thought theantcommandos guitar didn't lag that much. I know my scores are going to suck all of a sudden (moving from PS2), but ugh. I guess it's the best guitar to buy to tide me over until I get WT finally.

Anybody with experience using TAC Double Range comment about the lag?

Like everyone else said, don't get a third party guitar.

If I were you, get the WT guitar. DO NOT get the GH3 Les Paul, it is wayyy too laggy.

GH3 on PS3 has the same DLC as 360 except it has the God of War 2 song, "The End Begins (To Rock)" while 360 has Halo Theme.

How the fuck do you dent a disc with steel wool?

But yeah, as everyone else was suggesting, the WT guitar is your best bet on the PS3.

For a while I was using the official Red Octane wireless guitar for Ps2, combined with the TAC Ps2-Ps3 adapter...but the SP lag was bothersome.

I've switched totally to the GHWT guitar, and it is by far the best guitar for any guitar game yet. Xplorer and Les Paul eat dicks compared to this thing. I've heard of some reports of defects, but honestly they can't possibly be as bad as the Les Paul fuckstorm.

You can't go wrong the with GHWT guitar, so just use that (get the bundle for WT anyway, the only thing with widespread issues is the drum kit, but those were for early manufactured ones. The next shipment should be fine).

Hmm, looks like I'll be ordering GH:WT guitar bundle then. Considering the problems with the drums, I'm not in the mood to deal with ordering an entire bundle, then returning and everything. Thanks for everyone's help. (Actually, I decided to order the TAC guitar anyways for a second guitar. In case any friends enjoy randomly breaking guitars, they won't get the good WT one then.)

EDIT: PS: If I order World Tour from a store, would it likely be a second shipment by now? I'm worried about the drums (it's really inconvenient for me to return things, since I buy them online usually... the mall is a bus-ride away and I'd hate to bring something so bulky on the bus)
