I can't find a way to consistently FC trills in GHWT. Doing some testing, I found that Never Too Late's trill intro could be FCed by just anchoring red and spamming the yellow fret, and I did awful trying to play it in rhythm. However, for Love Spreads's end trill, I found myself having to play it in the proper rhythm and note spamming failed miserably. Yet, in Purple Haze's trill, upper-fret-spamming worked fine... Is there any consistency between trill techniques? Does it changed based on it being a touchstrip section or not? I'm confused >_>

It probably just depends on the speed of the trill which determines if you can hit it consistently or not. I don't find there to be that big of a difference between touchstrip note trills and normal note trills, you don't need to be exact with them and if you just focus on the upper note of the trill you should be able to see if you're pressing/releasing too early/late, that's what I do.

Although for some trills there are parts where the trill goes fast for about a second then goes back to normal speed, like the Overkill trill for example, so for those you kind of have to know where it speeds up and what speed you have to hit it at.

its easier to hit the fast ones because you dont have to worry about timing your pulloffs.

I've noticed this too...I think the touch pad trills are much more inaccurate and flailing works the best. The HOPOs are usually consistent though.

For slow trills, try trilling twice as fast as the so you're likelier to hit it. Just don't do it in slide sections.

In GH:WT, the HOPO frames are a lot smaller than GH3, so you can't spam at a fret, say, like in some parts of TTFAF. Learning how to hit a trill is completely different, as you have to learn to time it. Maybe you can try to one-hand all of them if you're going to fast?

It's really easy to combo slide section trills if you alternate the fret buttons quickly instead of anchoring the low one. That way you can't pull off early.

This is my technique, this way you stay in rhythm with the notes.
