I have an EXTREME fear of bees, wasps, yellow jackets, etc. Anytime they are near me, I run in fear, NO MATTER WHERE I AM. We went outside for a little bit in Spanish today, and my friend threw a dandelion thing past my head when I wasn't looking, and I ran away a little bit, thinking it was a bee because I saw it out of the corner of my eye. If I'm playing like a video game or something IN MY HOUSE if a wasp gets in and flies by me, I run. It's terrible. And all my friends are like, "Dude, they're just bees. If you don't bother them, they won't bother you." (IF I HAD A NICKEL EVERY TIME I'VE HEARD THAT...) And I just say, "It's a fear, and you fear things too, saying something like that won't help it." _________________

Absolutely no clue, just ever since I was really really young they've scared me, my brother says that when I was 3 he had to stand 20 metres away from me otherwise I'd start crying. _________________

Being afraid of yellow jackets is totally just. They're terrible. They're also part of the wasp family (or is it a genus?), BTW. I'm not afraid of bumble bees because I used to catch them in plastic bags as a kid. I've been stung so many times that it's hardly a bother. I typically avoid wasps. I won't bother them like I bother bees but I can handle them. Some, however, are a different story. Today I walked into my bathroom to find the worst of them flying around. If you guessed Cicada Killer, you are correct. After watching one of them attack and eat a cicada, I'm not exactly excited to be in the company of one. |

Probably my biggest phobia is being restricted from movement...whether it be confined in a small space or someone holding my arms so i can't move them...I just get really freaked out and start hyperventilating when I can't move. Also, I'm fricking terrified of cicadas, cause we had an infestation of sorts of cicadas a few years ago and they were like, everywhere. It was terrible, and they just scare the shit out of me now. _________________

To who ever posted the Ciceda thing: NOT COOL.
Around here every few years, actualy its a pretty big wait, the Cicedas come. And while they're not Killer, they are huge, and the amount of them, is just demonic. Yes thats the only way to describe it, demonic. Theres so many of them I go crazy, thank god I only was down there for a week end though... _________________

Shots and any type of needle going into me make me cry, literally. I remember 2 summers ago, right after I graduated high school (meaning I was 18) I had to get blood drawn and I was hysterical in tears. >_> I don't know how I managed to actually do it, but the lady who was actually doing it knew what she was doing thank god and she did it real quick too. Luckily I haven't had a needle since and hopefully it stays like that for a long time. But besides that, I don't think there's anything else that I'm that afraid of. |
This. It's the only true phobia I have, since while I'm kinda afraid of other things like speaking out loud and heights, those are not to the point where it's debilitating. Needles, on the other hand, I'll generally do whatever I can to get away from the sheer mention of them, let alone an actual injection (I'm actually sweating buckets even as I type this post, and I feel very faint ). The last time I actually had an injection was a few weeks before a holiday to Egypt. I had to get three injections in total, yet I only remember the first because I simply passed out as it was being done.
Over the past few years, I've missed several injections that were apparently necessary, such as a flu jab and a tetanus booster, simply because I'd much rather go through the illnesses than have an injection, even if the disease could be fatal. _________________

My two main fears are:
1. Dripping
2. Dismembered Arms/Hands.
Don't know if there's phobia names out there for these. |

Biggest fear would probably be bees. I can have bumblebees fly around me though, because they don't sting much. But i really try to stay away from yellow jackets and wasps.
And im slightly afraid of thunder storms (really late at night though) _________________
