Sounds like it. I'm incredibly pumped. GH5 nailed vocals as far as I'm concerned.
If someone is first on GH5 vocals it'll be because they are the BEST, plain and simple. Not the best at squeezing, not the best at freeforms, the best at simply singing the right notes all the way through, which is what all of this is about. Not to say that people who are good at freeforms and squeezing aren't talented, but the core of the game is of course singing the right notes, and when the people who can do this are rewarded much more for it, I'm very, VERY pleased!
There may be some gigantic ties for first on easier songs, but I'll be interested to see who comes forth to shine as a good vocalist when freeforms are taken out of the equation. Great job, Neversoft. _________________

I believe someone last night was streaming the Wii version using the RB2 drums, so I guess they work. |
Seriously?! OH HELL YEAH
(Expect final confirmation from me regarding RB2 Wii strats and drums in a day) _________________

That + It's not insanely crazy to get a FC Unlike Smash Hits and mainly Metallica. It's WT's (Or less strict, possibly a bit more) Which is VERY Good as I've been playing WT And Rock Band 1 a lot lately. Getting more points isn't based on getting a solid or excellent, but the bar. I believe this is a very good engine. The only thing that could possibly be wrong is it being a bit too strict, but we'll see. _________________

So I have one huge question for Neversoft...
Who is the /b/ tard that decided naming the acheivements "All Four Bass Are Belong To Us" and "Over 9000"? Whats next an acheivement called "I accidentally the whole Plastic Guitar"
Also if anybody could link me to a Demon(s) Drum chart, rock band drums preferrably, i would like that very much because i just cant seem to find it on youtube... _________________

I can 100% confirm that the RB2 Wii strat works for GH5, I was playing with one last night
EDIT: Streaming Right Now with the Drums/Vox Combo at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/rastabot

Once again the Scorehero hype curve completes it's cycle.
1. Announcement met with dissappointment
2. More news is revealed and hype builds, detractors and rockband fanboys continue criticism.
3. Song list is announced with a resounding "who?!"
4. Preview videos come out and people realize that obscure does not mean bad, and Neversoft is in fact not evil
5. Game comes out and people love it.
6. Vocal minority bitches about the game up until announcement of sequel thus setting the stage for step 1 to repeat. |

Personally i think those are some of the cleverest ach names in the game. Though for over 9000 i would have done it as "hit (cumulative across all modes) 9001 notes under star power.
And wtf is with the stupid small font? If you are slagging hte game off do it like a man and stand by your work for all to see. _________________

Over 9000 isn't really clever, but I thought "All Four Bass Are Belong to Us" was a stroke of genius. |
