How? The main riff seems like it has to be pretty much. |
I have a hella fast downstrum...I can downstrum the chorus in Six and most of the verses _________________

As I am attempting to learn to play TNB with walking bass style, something strange occurs to me.
Let us imagine the main riff and melody actually were voiced in bass with rhythm guitar supporting it, and make the singer more nasal and reedy. The hypothetical result sounds stylistically an awful lot like something Primus would make IMHO.
Weird, huh? _________________

Can somebody tell me how many people will make the playoffs for this league? I need to know because I'm going to try and make even thought I have only been a member for around 3 days now and only got news that I was in A league roughly 18 hours ago.
Also, for the twist on TNB, its not that big of a deal. I have develloped a twitch in my strumming hand from playing Guitar Hero 1 so much, so I can single strum pretty fast. _________________

Submitted scores...
TNB: Expect somewhat of a high rank... definitely not first, but...
CYHMK: Worst song... gave the least amount of effort...
Institutionalized: Hopefully none of you guys beast this song...

Way too busy this week to get in any practice. You will all probably woop my ass this week. Other than that, I'm personally quite happy with my scores
I'm with a lot of other people this week on the twist not affecting me. TNB just doesn't quite require me to alt strum... close, though. Any more than 3 of those fast notes in a row and I would have had a hard time.
CYHMK went pretty well. with a little extra time to practice, i could've FC'd it, but alas, didn't have the time to put in to it.
Jessica is one of my favorite songs, though I won't claim to be great at it. I did ok none-the-less.
Institutionalized I surprised myself with a good score on my first try that I wasn't able to match in my next couple tries.
After that, here I am on my way to bed. Scores submitted, fingers crossed.
Good luck everyone! _________________

I think I did alright. I downstrum too much as it is, so I did fairly well with this twist. Could have done better, but I'm ok with it. I really enjoyed this week's songs. Even Institutionalized was fun, although it was always the last song I played. It hurts my hands. |

How many people are entered into the playoffs? I'm just wondering because I'm in A3 (43 people) and even though I've missed 3 weeks I'm still in the top 20 since I was 1st before I left. Anyway the reason I missed 3 weeks in the first place was because I was in China but since I'm coming back soon I was wondering if I can still make the playoffs. |

I'm not going to know how many people will be in playoffs until week 6 results are in. Participation has been on a very sharp decline. |

The way I understand it, the more people who participate as much as possible, the larger the quota chosen to be part of the playoffs becomes.
There is nothing to lose by re-entering participation after an absence. I have seen some very distant underdogs make playoffs in my last season even though they did not submit scores every single week.
Not submitting anymore just because you have given up hope of making the playoffs has the self-fulfilling prophecy effect of shrinking everybody's chances of making playoffs just a bit more. So, for everybody's sake, I implore anybody reading this to continue fighting the good fight, for all is not yet lost. _________________

I guess the song choices for week 5 were just a fluke. _________________

Sweet! Three of my favorite songs are there (I dont like RTT that much). But no index finger on MiaB will throw some people off, like me. _________________
