So, we started our GH 3 tournament today [Forced to play Medium]. So my friend who plays X pwned my other friend who played for the first time..not surprised.
But what really pestered me the entire day was this

Two guys had a match to get over w/ and it was on X. TTFAF actually. So they start play terribly at the intro and so the host of the tournament said "Gamers with no life here!" ..they racked up 10k in the intro... Then by the end of the post insanities and such, they only get around 15k... everyones stunned. [Note: Doing a shitty job on the intro, Ive gotten 35k] So then they continue playing and by the middle of the solo its 60k-100k
Apparently thats enough to stun everyone and get them thinking that they're gods. Ive come close to beating this song and that shittiness inspired me to practice the intro to TTFAF. Im trying not to be a showoff or anything but if they really wanna be impressed, I might as well.

A comment after the match "Jesus, how the hell do you guys do that?" Im pretty sure they felt high and mighty.

Just pestered me a bit.. Im supposed to be the one with no life who masters TTFAF... [jk]

This was at my Highschool btw.

You should have schooled them both.

Honestly, just show them who's boss; tell them that you'll beat them without using Star Power. That's how I usually impress people (and also look like a cocky asshole).

Or just FC something... pretty much anything will do. Honestly, hitting every note will get their panties all wet, because they can't tell the difference between Closer and Cliffs of Dover.

Take advantage of simplicity and ignorance. Such is the way of the dictator. Er... and the Guitar Hero player.

And then we will colonize the sun and make little communities. Because if we can put a man on the moon, then obviously we can do this.

QFT.

I played some kid the other day in a best out of 5, first three songs were When You Were Young, Miss Murder, and Lay Down... FC, FC, FC.

Then he's all, "you are teh awesome at this game", and I just had to laugh. It was gold.

Play them in any song. Quit halfway though and watch them catch up.

The same thing happened at the tourney I went to. Some kid half assed Search and Destroy on Expert barely hitting a 4 star. Then I started to suck horribly at Six, which before I got GH3 was one of my best songs, and everyone went apeshit. I couldn't understand it.

And if that wasn't enough I 4 starred Jordan in front of everyone too. That's when the school TV cameras surrounded me. You have to look at it from their point of view, on here we witness shit like Jordan and Decontrol FCs, but to people who aren't very good or don't even play the smallest accomplishment is blown out of proportion.

This is just the kind of thing that makes some gamers think a lot of people on scorehero are elitist pricks. Sometimes, even I think this.

Is it really right to make fun of people for thinking some kids are really good at Guitar Hero when according to a website, they aren't that good? It's all well and good to say "Hey, I usually play X, so the tournament was a pretty easy win." But to mock fans of the game simply because they don't know what "good" is? Medium FCs are impressive to people too.

Thank god for saying that, so I didn't have to. Honestly, get over it. Its what I said in that other topic and I'll say it again here. Yeah, it sucks to have people think someone else is awesome when you're clearly moar awesome... but thats part of life. I'm a girl. Its generally accepted by most people that girls suck at all video games, so believe me I understand the feeling. Nevertheless, most of the elitist folks on Scorehero need to grow a pair and get over it.

I know you're not trying to sound braggy and you don't sound like the braggy type, but its the people who bitch and moan about others getting "undeserved attention" and come here for sympathy that piss me off.

And, yes, I agree.. Medium FC's are impressive too. What is "good" is always a matter of opinion, so to act like Scorehero is the law of the land and "good" is 30+ Expert FC's is just downright silly.. you can't control what impresses people, so uuuh.. like what I said before, get over it. Its hard to do but believe me you'll be much happier.

Give credit where credit is due. Nowhere in the phrase does it say to ONLY give credit where it's due though. If you pull out a crazy achievement in public, you'll get some fanfare, but no need to steal anyone else's thunder.

It probably was around 120k-135k. Thats what my sister gets on TTFAF on medium with similar scores after the intro and mid-solo.

Not trying to be rude but it seems like you ARE looking for glory and appreciation if it bugged you all day. Why not let them have the self-esteem boost? Unless they were being idiots to worse players and trying to be show offs, then just down right SCHOOL them!
