|
|
I am sure this must have been asked before but... I have searched and searched but have found nothing useful.
My question is this. "Is there a way to trigger the a Venue's Special Event for songs other that the last track of the Tier?" I don't know what else to call it but an example would be: The Backyard when the Cops show up OR Mitch's Lounge when the dancers come out.
I am trying to make a custom setlist for GH3 PC. I own the complete Guitar Hero series on PS2 + GH3 PC. My goal is to combine GH1, GH2, and GH3 into one complete playable setlist. Each tier would have about 15 songs. Has anyone attempted this? I just think it would be more fun instead of switching between them over and over. Some other methods make switching easy after some considerable preparation/setup. However quite frankly it's still not as much fun. I have counted and I think the list would total 119 songs. I have read that the limit is 105. OHH SO CLOSE! Is there a way past this limit?
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps. |

The limit is 100 per tier, and the custom events must be stored in the mid files, but we don't know where yet, Sorry. |

100 per tier you say? Does that mean 800 total? WOW! Can anyone confirm this? I thought for sure I saw a discussion where more than one person said the limit was 105 total. Perhaps I was mistaken. Please confirm its 100 per tier. Thanks.
Edit: I don't think the event is stored in the midi. So far I have ten GH1 songs replacing the GH3 songs in tier 1 & 2. Both activate the special event when reaching the fifth song with GH1 midis which obviously would not have had such events originally. |

Supposedly 100 per tier can be done, but people have talked about it corrupting savegames. |

You can add more over the 100+ limit but saving will no longer work. How much more I dont know. I was able to add about 55 extra songs spread across the general tiers and the bonus sections before the save updater stopped working. They were mostly GH1+2+80's tracks and a handful of customs. |

Tom said that he got 900 songs working. He didn't say anything about saving. |

As far as save corrupting goes. How does it manifest itself? Does GH3 warn you that the save is corrupted OR perhaps your scores just aren't there when you reload GH3? What happens? |

When you start the game, you have a message saying your save is corrupted, you delete it so that the game can create a new one, but the game is unable to do so, "Storage device in-use" or something like that.

100~110 per a setlist.
The save is considered corrupt because you changed the game. The game can't produce a save file when you make enough changes which were never tested for by Asypr.
Tom thought he tested 900 songs (in the general song list only) but he forgot that he put a cap of 100 songs beforehand. If you put more than ~110 songs in any of the setlists the game crashes. More than ~35 (rough estimate since it really depends on more than just the number of songs) the game can't produce a save anymore. |

Having taken the time to edit these setlists, I was wondering if it is possible to copy the Quickplay setlist into the Multiplayer & Coop setlists. The setlists are identical and it seems a waste of time to do the work all over again. Anybody?
Edit:

So What I understand is that you are saying is. You can add 35 additional songs to the existing GH3 setlist? I think to clarify you should also mention that you can add many more up to 105 if you replace the GH3 ones correct? |

How do that many songs fit on a single DVD? _________________

I'm pretty sure a DVD burner is hardware, so that would make it impossible to download, I'm afraid. |

Umm, for gh3pc customs, you don't need a dvd, it's hard drive based.
And as far as dvds, a standard dvd-r is 4.7Gigs, which should be able to take somewheere in the neighborhood of 1000 songs, depending on bitrate and length. _________________
