If you watch the replay of your stream you can see the massive buffering of the video. You basically get 3 seconds of stream and 3-5 of nothing, then it catches up. Audio is fine, so its fun to listen to you narrate and follow along. However, the video makes it nearly impossible to follow along when you are actively moving in game. Celeste looks fun, and I would enjoy watching you if you can fix the video delay some. _________________

Yeah, I did see that was happening, but I have switched my modem to a newer one that actually is really good as far as DL/UL (135+ D/~17 U is good enough for me). I did a test run later on and it was much, much smoother than before. I won't be able to stream again until next week as I work Wednesday night, though I could sneak in a Friday stream if you were interested since I don't work that day. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until next Saturday. Plus, with an extra HDMI cable coming in, I should be able to hook my PC and TV together (or I'll have to figure what that'll have to be another time.)
At least, from the looks of things I only have an HDMI port for my laptop, so I don't have a "proper" PC connection poart there. THankfully, my HDTV has two HDMI ports, so that should work, right?) _________________

Any second display that has HDMI capability will work for your laptop as a second monitor/screen. You just need to extend your space to the second monitor and drag your browser/window to it. The multiple HDMI inputs on your TV would mean you wouldn't have to disconnect your other device. Unless you have a pretty unusual setup on your TV (very unlikely), it shows one input at a time only, but its easy to switch between them. _________________

oh, sorry, I wasn't quite specific. I'm looking to connect the two so that xsplit can read that monitor and I can stream console games that way, like GH/RB. If nothing else, I can figure out how to set my laptop so the built-in webcam will work, but I'd rather avoid doing that if possible. Especially if I'm gonna play drums.
I'm hoping just the HDMI connection will be enough, as this laptop doesn't have the PC connector the TV does.
Also, quick reminder: This coming Saturday will be Celeste (now with a better, more powerful modem so I shouldn't have nearly as much visual lag!), and if my plan with the HDMI cable works, I'll have two blocks of GH/RB streaming on Sunday, plus telling you which side (righty or lefty) I'll start 2021 off on. (although, if you guys think you'll be too bored watching me play on Lefty, I can just ignore that and just do righty stuff on stream.)
I do need to remember to figure out a layout for GH/RB in general, plus any extra extensions/widgets/etc. to make it look how I want for either playstyle. It's a bit late right now as I'm posting, but I'll try to remember to posit what I want another day. _________________

Well, all that did was give me a potential 2nd screen, if I wanted to crane my head that much to look at the TV. I suppose it's expect since it's just an HDMI cable and it's not connected to the PS3 output, but I guess I just hoped it might've worked.
The xsplit tutorials suggest that I need a capture device first, which I unfortunately don't have the money to buy just yet (though suggestions for any that can work for the N64 and PS2-4 are welcome!), so any console-based stream would have to have the laptop webcam trained at the TV, and I'm not really keen on that. So, in light of that, I'm probably going to skip over doing righty for the time being and start playing on Lefty flip starting tomorrow or Sunday.
It also means I won't be doing a stream on Sunday (unless people want me to continue Celeste that day), but the Saturday stream is still on at 5pm Central. I actually have an ehternet connection and a better modem, as stated before, so it should be a significantly improved experience. I did note it was still dropping some frames visually, but nowhere near as often or as bad as before.
(I should also start recording alongside streaming. THat would help.)
Since this'll be my last post on righty, take care, people. _________________

Sorry, I got busy and missed the stream, watching the rebroadcast. Looks WAY better, less lag, audio was solid, video was almost lag free. _________________

This is more a place to compile the highlights of my previous streams for anyone else than anything else. I...might be better suited to making some thread in the VG section, but I'm honestly not sure how often the non-SH-related sections are visited.
Celeste streams:
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6
I know I started at part 3, but the first two streams I did of the game are lost because I waited too long to highlight them to have the full set. I'm going to have to go back and re-record those parts at a later date, most likely offline. ALthough, while I don't want to use that as a bribe to get other people to start watching, I wouldn't mind streaming myself re-doing those parts if anyone wants me to as opposed to just re-recording offline.
Anyways, if there aren't too many replies, I'll just edit this post later with any other parts. I'm streaming again to finish the story and start doing cleanup on Thursday at 5 like I did today. If enough people want me to, though, and if the last few chapters aren't too long, I can re-record the parts I missed then.
(also posting this over here cuz I still feel a little iffy about posting it on Lefty. THat's just me, though.) _________________

Sorry if you've already answered this somewhere else, but is this your first time beating Celeste? Or were you trying to speedrun or 100% the game or something? Either way congrats, it's a tough game! I need to come back to that to finish getting all the collectibles... _________________

First time playing it. I have no interest in speedrunning it beyond any achievement based on that, but I will be trying to 100% before I move to anything else. Even if it takes me a couple months.
With the actual story more or less finished, the rest of the streams will be about finding all the collectibles, beating the B-sides of each chapter, and making sure I have all the achievements unlocked. And when those are all done, I'll move on to another game (although what game that will be is unclear; I may want to move alphabetically down the list as far as games that have achievements or something, but even if I want to do things my own way I'm still unsure if I'd get a lot of followers going from Celeste to, like, Darkest Dungeon or Rimworld.) _________________

Alright, I've got all my streams highlighted, exported to YT, and linked to my 2nd post in this acc. page back on page 1. Makes more sense to put them there as opposed to a link all the way in the middle of the damn thing where it'll be buried by new posts.
I'd really appreciate if anyone could give them a watch whenever you have the time and provide any comments, critiques, suggestions, and the like. Especially when it comes to how long the highlights should be. The early ones I just did a single-length cut of the entire Celeste-based stream, with parts established only for connection shorts or other little breaks I do, but I'm trying out more specific cuts for specific portions to shorten the watch time.
In all honestly, it'd be really silly to expect people to sit through approx. 4 hours of stream time as their first introduction to things, so that was kinda dumb at the start. But at least I'm learning. Depending on how people react, I think I could work in more episodic cuts and the like. Do let me know!
I wish I could have a single dedicated day for streaming (or dedicated multiple days), but until I can drop some of my debts/obligations or actually start making enough money from Twitch/YT streaming to make it my primary income source my stream days are at the whim of whenever I have a day off from my main job. I've been able to maintain weekly streams, which is very good, but I want to be able to say there's one specific day I will always stream no matter what. Hopefully that will come.
Anyways, go take a look, please! All of my Celeste streams (as well as the pre-stream plays of Zuma's REvenge) are back there, and I'll work on being more diligent in updating it after every stream! _________________

First of all, my apologies for not streaming last week. I did mean to stream last Wednesday, but a coworker was unable to come in that day to move out of her home, and I didn't learn until after I got there that I would've been fine saying no (I had thought that if I had said no I was gonna get an angry call about it). So yeah, that didn't pan out.
I should be free to stream this upcoming Thursday, though, so I will try to do so then.
Secondly, the wedding went well.
Thirdly, since I'm going to be focusing on RB Drums for right now over GH Drums, I'll be posting updates mainly over there. I'll drop a bump every now and then if I get something noteworthy (RttH HDrums, or a new FGFC), but not for everything new. _________________

It looks like they should be Expert Guitar scores, based on what others have submitted for those charts. I'd guess that voided was working on Medium Bass at one point, then did a few songs on Expert Guitar and forgot to change his ScoreHero tab. _________________
